Hey you football analyst guys. What percent of Kyle's playbook have you logged in your own databank? I mean, do you record down his plays somewhere organized by formation? That would be badass if you guys ever decide to get into coaching. Of course, the playbook would be dumbed down for lower level coaching.

For me, 0%.

Wonder if other NFL teams hire a guy who does this?

We've talked about quality of sacks here before. The author took it a step further and took into consideration quality of competition - did the DLman beat a high quality OLman or an average quality OLman. This is why when Ziggy had double digit sacks and when Vic Beasley had double digit sacks, many were unimpressed. Very nice article and breakdown. Thanks for linking.

My pleasure. I knew you'd appreciate it.

I look forward to him charting 2019 in the Spring so we can quantify just how much of a loss - statistically - Bosa and Ford were this year.

Good point.
Every play not broken down. Yall are biased...
Interesting.

Completely changing someone's words and running with the fairy tale instead of addressing the point. You're objective.

Markus Golden with the Cardinals in 2016. 12.5 sacks but never had a very high pass rush rating. Same deal, he worked his ass off and took advantage of the opportunities he had but he wasn't beating down OL 1 on 1 constantly as his sack numbers might have implied. Hyder is damn sure worth re-signing but not worth breaking the bank for.

The hard part with Kyle's is the sheer massive amount of formations and motions. It gets hard to track the same play run out of 30 different formations and/or shifts.

Kyle's playbook did get leaked somehow though. There's a guy who published a book, Bobby Peters, pretty sure he used the actual playbook and Rich Madrid has it and will post from the actual playbook when it fits what he's trying to say.

here's a snippet from what's been leaked. You can see how hard it would be to catalog this. You'd be sifting each play run through pages and pages and pages to see if it was the same.

I stay a little more macro because of it. I'll pay attention to concepts, purposes of motion and how they defeat the defense called or get beat by it. Getting into the minutae is just too much time.
Also really interesting and I'll show on my vid when it comes out, Sherman played safety some in the Rams game

I had a feeling that was coming when they moved Harris to SAM a few weeks back.

When I see playart, I like seeing the route conversions in the play. Do this versus man, do that if versus zone, do this versus 2 high, etc. Can you link me to this (Kyle's playbook)?

Hoping you put more time into the defensive gameplan.

The defense was the star of the game. A lot of good plays across the board and they forced Goff to his 3rd and 4th reads several times and hurried his progressions. If Jimmy G had missed as many throws and reads as Goff did in this game, Peeps be burning this forum down, lol. Goff missed a ton of throws and reads on 3rd downs in this game. Give credit to our defense for forcing that.

I've got about 35-40ish plays from Kyle's playbook that's been floating around. I befriend on twitter one of the guys that had a bunch. Can you receive DM's on twitter? I tried but t was saying I couldn't DM you.

I have them on my phone because I do everything on my phone and it's so much easier using them when I don't have to go through photo books and stuff. The removal of tiny pic has really dicked me on this site as far as sharing pics.

My Twitter is set to private so that explains why you can't DM me. I only use it to follow football related accounts. Let me figure that out and I'll DM you. Thanks 816.
