Letting sanders go was a mistake?

Aussie niners fan here, I personally think letting him go was a mistake
Not scoring a touchdown after picking Mahomes off was the mistake, lol.

We didn't choose to let him go, he did. Wanted to go to a pass heavy scheme. Translation: He didn't want to finish his career run blocking

Never thought of it that way. Probably some truth to it.
Interesting
No, not really. It feels that way right now, because our top WRs are out, but that might change once they come back. However, Jimmy did seem to trust Sanders and refuses to try to trust our other WRs, so if that doesn't change then it will look like a mistake.
TRADING for him was a mistake !!

it takes a while to develop that trust. For example, if you throw it to him in man coverage, and its a bad throw, are you confident enough in your WR's Defensive Back skills to knock down the ball or prevent an interception? That takes lots of reps and real game experience, practice isn't good enough.
lets be honest, he'd probably be thinking of retiring had we won the SB.
