I rather lose this game with our 3rd stringers out there than lose some of our quality starters for the season or for a long period of time on that stupid MetLife turf field. This can be the sacrificial game to the football gods for some much needed good luck..

Daniel Jones looks pretty crappy this season..

Hah... In all seriousness though, we have a very thin margin for losses. With Jimmy out for awhile, we trust Mullens to keep the ship afloat.
But the loss to the Cardinals hurt a lot... Seattle is scary, the NFC is so crowded, and we have a stretch of games that includes the Patriots, Packers, Saints, and Seahawks. I can see us losing all four of those games, depending on how we are with injuries.
I don't see us presenting too much challenge for that #1 seed, with the injuries that we have and losing our best defensive player for the year. I think our hope is to just get past the injury bug and just get ourselves into the dance in January... hopefully at full strength.

We can possibly win the next 3 games. Giants,Eagles,& Dolphins are all terrible
Man, the NFC East is simply putrid. 8-8 gonna win that division.

They played a game the week before on that turf and didn't have any problems. Maybe there was more humidity or something that made it play differently. Bosa's injury didn't look like it was because of the turf. A guy fell on him and bent his knee under him. Jimmy slipped when he was going back but I'm not sure if that's when he hurt his ankle. He got hit low on that play.

Steelers also lost their leading RB Conner early in that game to an ankle injury.

If we can find a way to win this game without Jimmy or Kittle, we might be okay. We could then reload with Deebo, Kittle and Jimmy come Week 4 against the Eagles.

The Cards next 3 games are against the Lions,Panthers, and Jets. They will be 5-0. So Niners need to win their next 3 against the weak opponents also.
