What if next week Hopkins and Wilson tear thier ACLs. Long season fellas. Too much battles and games to play. Let's revisit at the bye week.

we're still in it lol. its week two, we are still loaded with talent. Deebo and Kittle will be back soon, Sanu will be more of a factor when he learns more of the offense, sherm and most of the others will be back on defense. Ansah is no Bosa but we have some solid depth on the dline. just have to survive one more game on that s**tty turf in NY... like someone else said above, what if the midget gets hurt in seattle? then what? its week two, chill.

Sanu already knows the offense pretty well. He just needs to find his place in the receiving group.

Remember, all NFC West will play there in NY as well.

Wilson never gets hurt. He sold his soul to the devil. It's the only explanation

thats what i meant lol. reps with our guys, either way we will be fine. but next year we need to invest heavily in WR. i know we spent some draft capital on WR but honestly only deebo has proven anything. hurd as this point is 0-2, cat boy is garbage, trent is decent but we can definitely upgrade and bourne is a good #3 and no more. I believe Aiyuk will be a great WR but its way too early to tell. watching other teams around the league like seattle, the raiders, dallas, these teams always seem to have great, sure handed, hungry WR's who attack the ball.

This is true plus he's always drawing double teams. Once DJ Jones came in for Solomon our interior pass rush was great. That guy is very underrated. Armstead also stepped his game up after the injuries. I still think our defense can be top 10. Get Sherman healthy and hopefully Verrett can stay healthy and I think we'll be fine.
you have to be healthy to stay healthy. i don't have a lot of confidence in verrett suddenly being healthy when he's basically shown no evidence of it in a long while. getting slammed at full speed every other play isn't a sport for everyone

Not the Hawks, they play jets and Giants at home

Not the Hawks, they play jets and Giants at home. So do the Rams only 9ers and AZ play at Metlife

I can see aNFC West Division winner with a 11-5 or 10-6 record. All these teams are competitive. One thing in the Niners favor is that we will have guys coming back and the other teams might have to deal with injuries later. Get em' over with and forge ahead.
Beat the G-Men Sunday, thats all that should matter.
Eagles
Dolphins
Both winnable games = 4-1 heading into the BIG Ram matchup.

With the how Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson are playing right now(things can change), I don't see how anyone but AZ or SEA win the division. That's right now. Things can change. But both of those QBs looked incredible on Sunday.

Sounds about right on the record. Jimmy g is clearly becoming a stop gap quarterback type of situation. He is clearly our best option right now in terms of availability and $$, but looking for the future is as important as ever.
We can't pretend or expect that we will find any quarterback worth a damn in the draft any time soon. See Josh Rosen and the other dozens of busts from rounds 1-3 and the dudes who fill practice squads in rounds 4-7... it's very possible even if we started drafting for a future qb next year, that we don't even find a viable replacement for 5 years and even then, how much of an upgrade will it be over a mid tier qb like jimmy g? Looking for the next Patrick mahomes takes a certain amount of luck and simply turning in the draft pick and having it flop quarterback and see what you get. You miss 100% of the chances you don't take.
Stop gap? Are you insane? This is just the beginning of Jimmy's second full year as the presumptive starter. In his first full year back from an ACL injury that robbed an entire season from him, he led the team to the Superbowl and had the 4th best statistical season in franchise history.
It's crazy that anyone would dismiss his potential to become a great QB after the second game of the season. Look at the beginning of Montana or Young's careers. They didn't start out great, and it took several years for them to develop into the Hall of Fame QB's that we all remember them as now.
If Jimmy comes back from the high ankle sprain and can play out this entire season the way he can, he will score enough points to win any game. The question is if the defense is also up to the task. If the defense can hold other teams to 21 points or less, we will win a majority of the games this year and make it to the playoffs. We were just a few correctable plays away from going up by two or three scores in the first half of the AZ game. With a shortened off-season and no preseason games, I think it would be fair to cut Jimmy and the players some slack for being out of sync.

We're just good enough to get a s**tty draft pick now.
