Do we still make the playoffs?

This is where we will find out how good our front office and coaching is. The injuries to key players hurts so much but this is where we will find out how good our depth is and how good or bad John's drafting and free agency hires have been. Not to mention how good our coaching really is.
I still think we need to do something about our training staff as we have had so many issues with soft tissue injuries the past 3 years. I'm not talking about ACL tears. That is just bad luck.
If our office and coaching is up to snuff we should be in the playoff race.

I don't know how you can coach differently so players don't get injuries other than having no contact at all in practice. That doesn't help for the games though. Players do stretching exercises but there's only so much you can do. You can build muscle strength but you can't work out and make your bones stronger or your ligaments stronger. Unfortunately all the bulk that layers carry now can easily lead to more injuries like the one where the player fell on Bosa and bent his knee.

I never said anything about coaching differently to lessen injuries. I said something needs to change with our training staff. Every training staff is different on how they run things or implement their techniques. It goes far deeper then just stretching well.

look around the league, see which team has been the healthiest the past 5 years. then hire their training staff, pay them double.
I think so. I think we split against the NFC West, maybe get swept by the Cards. Injuries can certainly f**k us up more or f**k other teams as well. You never know. We should handle the Giants, Eagles, Dolphins, Pats, Packers, Bills, and Redskins. Maybe we lose to the Boys. 11-5, 10-6.

Way too early predictions:

1. Seacucks 13-3 (their schedule besides the NFC West is a joke)
2. Packers 12-4
3. Buccaneers 11-5
4. Terdinals 11-5
5. Aints 11-5
6. 49ers 11-5
7. Cowchips 10-6

Important thing is we enter the playoffs healthy, energized, and on a roll!

Vegas only changed 49ers odds for Super Bowl (!! not even playoffs) from 14/1 pre-Jets game to 16/1 post Bosa injury (the only player lost for whole season)...says a lot about what they think of these other short term injuries - weather the storm!!
My preseason prediction was 9-7 and I doubt that is a playoff record this year.

It's 100% dependent on OL play. If these guys can solidify, get their s**t together - especially on the right side, yes it's extremely likely.

You mean the middle, it's been nothing but a disaster

Trent Williams has been the only bright spot in the O-line.

Our Center play has been pretty great in PP
No
All those extra votes I'm putting in starting to pay off. Now the "No'"s only have a small lead.
Yep

Personally, I'm undecided but leaning towards no also. A lot of what happens regarding playoff spots will be determined, in my opinion in November. That's where the bulk (I think) of the 49ers division games are going to happen, and if they win a lot of those game, it's pretty much given they will advance to the playoffs. That's a big if though. Bosa is a big part of our defense last year and he's gone. So is Solomon, although at a lesser level. I don't think we will make the playoffs this year - if the rest of the NFC west is going to beat us the way AZ did, but I'm hoping I eat tons of crow for this post later in the year!
didnt they allow more playoffs spots this year, so im sure even with the injuries we have, we aren't a bottom talent team yet...
we win the division. offense will be explosive once deebo, kittle mostert come back. plus reed will be back and fresh towards the end of the year for a playoff boost. more depth and experience for the reserves. we smack seattle twice and take the division. not worried about it at all
Had anyone sat down to look at the schedule after the Miami game? Outside of Washington and cardinals every game is against a Superbowl contender
