I understand it was the Jets, but they are still an NFL team that did literally squat against us. If the Seahawks, Cardinals, or Rams lost this equivalent of talent from their teams I am not sure they would win, let alone dominate the Jets. Bosa will be sorely missed. Ford's injury really sucks. But we still have tons of talent on defense, and loads of talent on offense. We need to get healthy (Jimmy, Kittle, Deebo, Mostert), but if we do I absolutely expect this team to compete for a playoff spot.
Perfect post!

I wouldn't count AZ out just yet

Luckily, should be a time when we get MUCH healthier whereas, no telling what happens to those other teams, health wise. It is 2020 after all. We could end up with the Lions as a SB contender.

True. Russel Wilson is on some kind of performance enhancing drug. He's paying out of his mind and he never gets injured. This can't be sustainable, can it?

We are developing our young talent while the starters sit out.
Maybe there is a team that is lucky and dodges the injury bug all year and wins it . But the way the season is going with injuries and COVID .... the deepest roster has a good chance to go far or win it .

Too many things going on and the season is still early to know if we can make the playoffs. Other team injuries could possibly be a factor and our young players could develop and be solid contributors.

that's what I was thinking. We can win with our backups. Can other teams?
I honestly think we have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL. Of course I don't pay attention to much other teams but still blowing out your opponent with 10 of your best starters missing says a lot about your depth.

I voted no. Isn't really a knock on the 49ers as much as it is recognizing how tough a division they're in. With all the injuries are they better than Seattle, Arizona, and LA? I'm not sure. Without a healthy roster it's a mountain to climb for sure.

Do we still make the playoffs? Can Jimmy get healthy enough to spark this team? We saw this team win 5 straight with less talent in 2017... I think it's all on Kyle and Jimmy if we can go on a run here. It may take a 5-1 finish at worse to get in.....

If we do we'll be unstoppable if the team gets healthy.

Hope not, with this roster our best bet is playing all the kids and go into next year with a healthy roster with a top 15 pick.

That top 15 pick won't guaranteed a playoff run next season. We still have a chance this year, why not make a run for it?

pull the plug, start prepping for Seattle now and get blown out every other game. Im happy if we can knock off seattle for a game and lose everything else lol. sneaking into the playoffs is not gonna happen and if we do we will get steamrolled by some team who deserves to be there. get healthy, draft high and bring in a stacked, angry roster next year for revenge

Season is not done until we have absolutely no chance in making the playoffs. Teams get healthy and hot towards the end of the season usually makes a deep run into the playoffs. It happened numerous of times before, it can happen again. It's not like no team had done it before.
