Whoa OTC you have been in here for a while. I remember your posts from over a decade ago. Looks like you're a HOFer now, congrats

Ziggy was with Kris Krocurek in Detroit. While together through 2017, Ziggy had good sack numbers except 2016 which he only had 2 sacks. But reuniting with Krocurek, the Wide 9 and familiarity with the 49ers defense
Scheme he should provide that pass rush we would miss without Bosa. Also could be an audition for him for 2021 if Dee Ford continues to be unreliable because of injuries.

This just in, certainties in life: death, taxes and Ford won't play more than 8 games in a NFL season.

Ford and Ansah as our ends. They'll play well I think but will they stay healthy. Should think about getting Matthews too
For how many quarters?

Better start looking for another Free agent. Seems Ford ain't looking good and banking on ziggy Is foolish.

You going with quarters? I'm going with snaps (in the 1st quarter, might revise it to snaps on first D drive.haha)

This old looking cat reunites with "raccoon on meth" ... I think he'll be more comfortable here than he was with the cawks. Hopefully, he can balls out.

I think whatever Ziggy has left, it's all going to come out. This is going to be it for his career one way or another. We will either see a revival of a former star or a simple fade into oblivion. If anything, we know that this guy will play hard for the team
I'm actually excited to see Ansah play Sunday. I think we still have a good shot at the West and a potential SB return, not giving up based on losing Bosa and Thomas for the season, more so Bosa.

I am pretty sure there is no one or group of DE's that are currently available that are going to replace Bosa. A better strategy would be to get some better cornerbacks because the ones we have now are not designed to cover for as long as they are going to be forced to cover with very limited pass rush. The Seahawks have a horrible DL but they have a secondary that can help them. And they are still mediocre to bad at times.

That's because the Seahawks Dline is beyond horrible. For our's to be on that level of bad we would have to also lose Kinlaw,Armstead, DJ Jones, Hyder, Givens, and Ansah to go along with everyone else we are without currently. Take all those guys away and then you will have the Seahawks Dline.

This

Hmm

Seattle
3 sacks 11 TFL 13 QB hits

49ers
3 sacks 8 TFL 9 QB hits

looks pretty even to me

meh you can't compare them like that IMO

Seattle's first two weeks they had 98 passing attempts against them.
SF's first two weeks they had 72 passing attempts against them.

Just more opportunities to gets sacks/TFL/QB hits etc...

I'll add Murray week one got rid of the ball about as quickly as you could vs that DL. I want to say we had 15 pressures that game.
