I Love Jimmy and love having him as our QB but I will say Mullens looked great in the pocket today - especially when pressure came and protection broke down

Impressive but defenses aren't game planning to stop him yet, whereas everyone does vs jimmy g. If he can do this with good defenses actually game planning to stop him tho
Giants defense completely folded by middle of the 3rd quarter after SF got the TD to go ahead 23-9.

You smart guys on here really entertaining the idiots on here claiming Mullens is better and should be the starter?

You replace Jimmy with Mullens last year and I would argue that the 9ers still make the playoffs.
Does Mullens win that NO game?
Probably not but that wasn't a playoff game. And we might win the Week 10 game with Mullens. I remember Jimmy being very inconsistent and not arrucate. We lost in OT.
We lost in OT after Jimmy got the team into FG range and the off-the-street kicker missed the kick. Maybe you are arguing Mullens should have made the FG attempt?
I don't think there would have been an OT with better QB play. Jimmy had an INT and was inconsistent with this throwing.

Did I say twice, I meant two TDS and kicks a FG himself

All right so which team can we get to trade for Mullens?
More like who can we trade Jimmy to so we can sign Trent Williams long term.
Jimmy is currently middle of the pack for highest paid QB. His contract was front loaded. If you're going to troll, at least know the basics.
Yeah, but dumping $27 million a year in salary would mean we could pick up a few other contracts. I don't recommend doing it as I don't think Mullens is a starting QB (not yet at least) but let's remember that Jimmy is being paid a lot.
NFL QB's make big, big money. Doesn't matter who you have. The top backups in this league make 8-12 mil. You aren't going to find a starting QB who you can win with for under 20-25 mil a year. Thats not salary you can sacrifice for other positions. You never "save" money on the QB position.
The only time you get top tier QB play for cheap is if you draft a star. Then you get 3-4 years of dirt cheap QB before you have to pay up.
Moving Garoppolo to save money is one of the dumbest ideas ive ever heard.
What?
Not saying we should do it, but how much do you think it would cost to sign Mullens for another three years as a "potential starter" if we cut Jimmy and draft a QB?
Save tons of money... For Good Reason
Let me help you my friend. Its a simple equation.
Jimmy is not even close to earning his contract.
Mullens looks to be playing at a higher level then the 2020 Jimmy.
Trent Williams is an elite OT. We need money to sign him.
All this equals cutting Jimmy to keep Williams and play Mullens with little to no drop off plus sign other players.

That Super bowl was set up for the Chiefs. Only Mahomes scores twice in the final 6.
The Super bowl was rigged for the Chiefs to win thanks to Shanahan abandoning the run while up 3 scores.

Playing for the 49ers is becoming a health risk. Should add hazard pay to the contract lol

Let that sink in from where this team was before Shanny. It's all good. Have faith and keep believing.
