Hate Dallas with a passion....but not today!

Nothing better than the 9ers winning the 1st game and watching Seattle get beat in the second ( we hope )

Mullens looked good today against one of the worst teams in the league. I'm more curious how he would do against the Eagles and Rams if Jimmy can't go next week. Jimmy plays up to the level of his competition. Mullens showed that he had a ceiling against better teams when he had to step in for Jimmy G. He turned the ball over like crazy. There were a few passes that could've gone for pick sixes today. Against a better team like the Rams or Seadderall, much higher risk that he gets picked or strip sacked. He looked good today. But let's not get too excited yet until Mullens actually gets tested.

Agreed. I don't want to take us away from my primary point which is that there should be questions about Jimmy. Is he the QB who can take us back and win the SB?

I'm not saying Jimmy can't win the Super Bowl but I have my doubts as he looks like a different QB after his injury. I said it before but let's get Jimmy back and see how he looks the rest of the year. He's going to have the best supporting cast of offense players that he has ever had. There should be no excuses when it comes to the offense.
Why cant u all said mullin play a good game today.
He play good today. Defense was good too. Nice win today
It's nice to know thought that the team doesn't roll over and die when the starting QB is out. What Nick lacks in physical ability he makes up for with confidence.

Yeah, Can you imagine Jimmy G with Nicks confidence and gunslinger mentality..... Oh my

Didn't see one person said Mullens played a bad game today.

Yeah I was worried even though it was the Giants. Its hard to win any game in the NFL, especially on the East coast for a West coast team, and not to mention when almost your entire starting unit is injured.

Wouldn't you just get Nick Mullens but two inch taller?

Totally agree. I'm sure not ready to move past Jimmy, yet. He will have some great weapons in the next few weeks. He'll do fine. But Nick deserves a lot of credit today. He was really f**king good today.
Good game from everyone except our long snapper.

One thing I do feel that Jimmy has done is become a little too focused on playing "within the system" with minimal risks. Sometimes, risks are necessary. We did see it last year - against the Saints, against the Cardinals (both games), against the Rams (2nd game). We do need to see it a bit more. I don't think it's a lack of confidence on Jimmy's part, but a lack of wanting to rock the boat unnecessarily because the defense is usually keeping the game under control.

Well, now that he won't have the same defense with Bosa/Ford out maybe we'll see the "gunslinger" in Jimmy show up a bit more.
Nick's poise in the pocket and arm strength was on full display today with the running game getting shutout most of the game.

Good thing we didn't have to punt today. That would of been disaterous.

Also I heard its the first game the 49ers haven't punted in since the 90s.

McGlinchey had a bad game, too.
