Time out...you think a team is gonna give up a 1st rd pick and pay Mullen's a substantial contract?

Not a chance in hell.

Just like week 1 where all of a sudden it was time to tank for Lawrence

even with the injuries how people thought we could finish with the worst record is laughable

Suddenly there are a bunch of people wanting Mullens over Jimmy after a big game against one of the worst teams in the league. Wait until he throws two INT's and fumbles it against the Rams or some good team. Everyone will want Mullens released and traded. 49ers QB's are crucified like Jesus.

Its really not too crazy of an idea. a lot of QBs are getting overpaid right now. Every year some desperate team does stupid s**t.

Nah, I don't want to replace Jimmy at all.

Well we got Dee Ford for a 2nd and got Jimmy for a 2nd, hopefully ShanaLynch can perform a miracle and get a 1st rounder.

Having said that, thank god we have him for another year. I thought this year was his last. Whew!

Usually its the bottom 5 to 7 teams every year with front office, a newbie coach that makes decisions that, hopefully, ShanaLynch can fleece for a first or 2nd round pick.

The lowest paid starting QB who isnt on a rookie contract is Teddy Bridgewater at 21 million per year. Why would Nick Mullens accept less than that to become a starter on a new deal? That would only save us 6 mil. Why would going with a backup with a very limited sample size over a guy you went to the SB with be a good idea? To save 6 mil? Makes no sense.

Mullen is a RFA next yr, he will be in SF.

I was talking about the (ridiculous) hypothetical situation that the 49ers would give Mullens a long term deal in the offseason and dump Jimmy.

Salah really needs to figure out a solution for running qb's. We allowed Daniel jones to look dual threat today

We need to run that 3-3-5 defense I've been talking about. Lions used it a bit against Kyler Murray in the Detroit win today.

Yup both are dumb overreactions

Dude there's not a single team that's gonna give us a 1st rd pick and a contract similar to what Teddy got for Mullens...not. one. single. team.

Yeah they're not dumping Jimmy just because they have Mullens. I agree that's silly.

And for ISU, who really need to use it game in and game out in the Big 12.
