SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs MIAMI DOLPHINS - 2020 Game 5

I do agree with you and I'm one who would rather see the 9ers not even get to the SB, IF, I knew they weren't going to win it. I was ticked for 2 months after last years.haha

But I can answer your question about QB's in 1 word: Jealousy.

You know how many SB rings we would have if RW or Mahommes or Arod, (maybe Watson, Big Ben) was the QB? Most likely at least 2 more in the past 8 years, last year's and Harbaughs SB.

We have had some great QB's but unless Montana or Young are coming out of retirement and return to form it's not helping the current team.

Every team in the NFL searches for a Mahommes or RW just like SF was lucky, or skilled enough, to acquire Montana & Young.

Anyone have doubts if RW, Arod,Mahommes was our QB in the last SB that we would have won, or Harbaughs SB?

I'm not ready to dump JG, even though he went to the SB last year he is limited in full seasons of play and still learning. He may or may not be the long term answer but he does have some type of issues right now be it the knee, bad blocking by o-line isn't helping for sure, mechanics, practice time, or all the above.

There's 32 teams and only 2-3 superstar QBs that can have the coach hold his beer and say,I'll be back in a few minutes.

Just not enough SS QB's to go around for 32 teams. But every team is always looking to upgrade at every position if the $ works, whether it's CB,S,QB,DE, OL etc.
Please someone should put OLine heads out of their asses....

I only just watched the NBC Bay Area postgame. Wow, Matt Maiocco, Jeff Garcia and Donte Whitner totally laid into the 9ers with zero reservations. In fact, I would go as far as to say they were p*ssed with such an embarrassing performance and they certainly didn't hold back at all.

And I would say they were absolutely right. Donte's point on Witherspoon being soft was not only accurate, actually to me the entire team is soft if I am being totally honest. It takes on the personality of the head coach aka Shanahan. Just like the Falcons when he was there, the team was soft. Shanahan came to the 9ers, fired Mark Uyeyama and decided to bring in his own fitness training staff. I don't know whether it is me or I don't seem to recall the 9ers squad during the Harbaugh's era was injury-prone or soft. In fact, I would say it was quite the opposite. The 9ers team back then used to lay the wood and bring pain to other teams. The team was just tough from top to bottom, Justin Smith, Aldon Smith, Patrick Willis, Navorro Bowman, Donte Whitner, Dashon Goldson, etc. The entire team was hardcore. Now? This team is made of glass. The moment someone get nicked, they just don't play and take time off.

I wouldn't say this team has been soft overall while Kyle has been here...they were not even close to soft last yr. Top end defense top end running game...you can't be soft when you're good at both of those.

This team is chalk full with injuries, they got freaking brain Allen out there at DB I mean who the hell is that?? If Jimmy wasn't healthy he had no business being out there. MM was correct there was some personnel decisions that made no sense.

I want to see Jimmy completely healthy before I say he's not really the answer, but man it was brutal all around...this was rock bottom. I had freaking Dolphins fans txting me for god sakes (Didn't even know they were dolphin fans) that's when you know its bad

I'm sick of Kyle Shanahan's stupid hat. No color or life to it, just like this team on a super bowl hangover.

With all the issues this team has now you're concerned about Kyle's hat. Jeez.

This team was favored by 8 points going into that game and lost by 26. A 34 point swing is nonsense. It looked like the team quit after awhile and there was no fight, even after they scored in the 2nd half and closed the score to 30-14. They immediately gave up another score. This season could quickly spiral out of control considering the games left on the schedule and the injuries this team keeps getting.
I'm all for canceling the season now

I just wanted to point it out, everything else has been said already and is painfully obvious. It's almost turning into a joke how every time they mess up the camera cuts to Shanahan in his stupid hat. It's clearly not working and is bad luck, time for a change. Satire
You have to give credit the Miami coaching staff and Fitzpatrick for taking advantage of the Niner weakness at corner. They say an opportunity and Fitz delivered the ball. He put those long throws in a position where his receivers could make a play.

Yeah, the OL is real bad right now.

If the O-line is bad I'm putting this on Shanny. He's got the O-line he wants. I'm not really trusting Shanny's offensive personnel judgement right now. He's got the WR's he wants. He's got the O-line he wants. He's got the TE's he wants. He's got the RB's he wants. Given that the offense is largely healthy I expected at least a shootout. Missing half our defensive starters and key rotational players I fully expected the defense to get torched. The offenses inability to score points has nothing to do with the defense, so I'm not putting this on the defense.

I really think Shanny was a bit exposed yesterday. His offense is too finesse, too soft, and the Eagles and Dolphins did what they should have done to a soft team - bully them. That's what happened yesterday. The line couldn't block anyone. The WR's (who are all just slot WR's) couldn't get open. All game Miami played all our WR's tight at the LOS because they don't respect none of them. Our offense just got punked, and Shanny had no answers, and we haven't even gotten to the teeth of our schedule.

This season is over

Down 7 starters on defense (if i counted correctly), there comes a point where it becomes a personnel issue, just overmatched at his point. Dolphins do have pretty good receivers with Parker, Williams, and Gesecki. Brian Allen? Eric Allen at 55 would have been better.

epic failure on every level possible, kyle the golden child can not be protected from yesterday nor can jimmy nor can the dc. when i hear respected people say. you have go to back to chip kelly to find a performance that was as woefully inadequate as yesterday. that is all i need to know. when anyone dares to be critical of lynch and kyle... you usually get the usual deflection response..... would you rather have jt or chip back... well based on . in some part last week and in large part this week.... sounds like there is not to many differences in the three,, also the dc sounds like a big part of the issue.. oh and let us not blame injuries on the offensive side of the ball... i can not see any excuses for the last two s**tshow weeks
49ers are looking like the rams last year after they lost the Super Bowl. 2020 football season should've been canceled anyways so I'm hoping for a better 2021season.
