Superbowl hangover year, rest the superstars, get experience for the young guys, superbowl run next year, with a couple of new, good rookies.
Nothing to panic about. Season is over.

Yep. Lynch letting Defo Walk might be his undoing. If this is what we get out of our oline we won't win another game.Kyle has to change to a quick throw west coast O. There is no way his system will work with a dumpster fire s**tshow in front of the rb/qb
No panic. Just time to look forward to the draft.

If you're going to make up some b******t at least get the facts right... Lynch clearly didn't let buckner "walk".
Like others have said, the time to panic has come and gone. The season is already over. And I don't say that to be dramatic (although I certainly had a flair for the dramatic in many of my posts today lol). I say it because:

1. We've been decimated by the injury bug this season.

2. Our OL play has been putrid and is not showing any signs of improving.

3. Jimmy is still hurt, and it's clear he's not comfortable in the pocket.

4. We tried to replace two seasoned vets who made big-time contributions last year with two rookies.

5. Most importantly, our schedule is absolutely brutal from here on out. To make the playoffs, we likely needed to start the season 4-1 or, being generous, 3-2. That hasn't happened.

What stinks is that we had a such an awesome opportunity to for greatness this season. The reality is, this team will look very different next season, and we'll have limited cap space to plug the holes.

Oh well, another semi-rebuild. We've been through this before.
I panicked week 1

I hit the panic button the moment Bosa went down.

This. And a part of that is because I didn't think our offense could carry us like our defense did last year. Been proven right.

These.

I've been saying ever since that play that we can't win a championship without him.
They can fight for a playoff spot....but with the QB in shambles and key defensive people hurt....meh....

I would be fine with going for a better draft choice and going back next season. This covid year is crap

Truth is the season went south on opening day. When we lost 2 starting D linemen for the season and one is Bosa, things suddenly got really tough. The loss of Buckner was magnified when we lost them. The we find out Ford has a back injury and he hasn't played. Sherman went out late in game one and hasn't played since. Greenlaw and other defensive players have all missed time. I don't like to use injuries as excuses since every team loses players but when your team is built to win around the defense and you lose so many starters it's pretty much over.

Now the schedule gets really tough and the offense is sputtering too. The only way would make the playoffs is if we played in the NFC East. Hopefully next season gets back to normal.

I don't see next year being markedly better than this year.
