Is it time to panic now?

Not panicked, I've accepted. This team overachieved last year and caught teams off guard. Now with a full off-season teams know how to beat Salehs garbage defense, dismantle Shannys blocking schemes, and expose Jimmy G as basically a slightly better Shaun Hill.
I think its more so time to panic that we need a new quarterback and if this team is serious about competing for championships that maybe at east a few years away. The 49ers were always going to have a tough time getting back this year after choking away that super bowl. It is time for a re-tool.

God what is it with you folks??? You all think your God's gift to football coaching, which begs the question why aren't you being paid millions of dollars to coach professional football? You think you have all the answers. Get rid of Jimmy G. Get rid of Kyle S. Rebuilding time is here. Christ! Give it a rest.

The entire secondary and half the D-line starters are out due to injuries. What do you expect? The O-line is playing like sh*t but they, too, are missing key players. Half the running backs are injured. If you want to place blame, put it on the two weeks on trash field in New York - that field should be outlawed in the NFL.

The reality is the head coach is possibly the best or certainly one of the best offensive minds in football. Today everyone had a terrible day. But next week we will see Sherman and Moseley back in the secondary; that will improve the entire defense significantly. Jimmy G. has to deal with the high ankle injury, and that may take some time. However, the team is still SB worthy. They are unlikely to get a top 10 draft pick, and they will probably still win enough games to make the playoffs, at which point anything can happen.

You are so quick to give up on a team that made the SB last year just because they didn't win it. This year they have been decimated by injures, and no matter what anyone says officially, that makes a BIG difference.

If you are only a fair weather fan then go someplace else. I sat through the worst years and I watched the best years and I have faith that this team will come back from this devastating loss (and last week's) and show up as the powerhouse team that it is.

If you think I am wrong, then go apply for a professional coaching position and see what results you get.

The team is go8ig to have to adjust to the adjustments made against them. Unfortunately everybody is injured or playing hurt and coaches are making bad decisions.

Cant say I've panicked because I knew this year was going to be rough. In the long run a bad season might be a good thing so we can start making the tough decisions that need to be made.

The season isn't over. Occam's Razor, folks.

The defense is in shambles due to injury and the offense is in shambles because we have an injured QB and players who have no chemistry playing together.

We can still pull it together, but this is football. One key injury can ruin a season unlike any other sport.

1000% Top 5 player in NFL goes down, it hurts a team every way....performance, confidence, emotionally.

Yep nothing to do with injuries - Brian Allen was the corner yesterday. That is all.

Sorta agree with you. I don't think they overachieved last year. They were healthy and they took full advantage of that fact...minus the last 10 minutes of the Super Bowl.

With that said, they did not improve on that 2019 team. They kept some very questionable pieces: AA, Ward, Saleh(although he did well in 2019, i still didn't trust him to be a good coach) and they let good pieces go. (Buckner, Sanders, etc)

Despite all of their miscues, they were very close to being a 4-1 team and this team suffered major injuries on both sides of the ball. I cannot blame the injury aspect on Lynch, Shanny, Saleh, or anyone. It's just bad luck. However, I will blame Lynch and upper management for the O line failures and the receiver carousel. This team has multiple holes and will take two offseasons to completely fix. (and this assumes that the management team gets it right)

If I am lynch and co., I would no longer offer "big contracts" to free agents. No more short sided trades. (like sanders and Wiliams) They have to build from within. I am ok with the K'waun Willams type signings but that's about it.
Years of being a 49er fan, I've learned to get over these losses a lot faster but also care less.

With that being said, i think we need to do a partial rebuild. We need to reevaluate the O-line, Need to get another good CB or 2 if Sherman leaves. We need to get better safeties and possibly another LB. Also maybe rethink the QB situation

I'm confident with the WR's and Mostert and Kittle.

Conclusion: This is season lost, i see maybe 2 more wins, good thing is we'd get a top pick again and hopefully take the best CB or Safety available.

you have GOT to put in poor coaching by kyle and the dc.. you have to.,. there are alot of teams with injuries. every team had no off season and have chemistry issues. the dolphins , we were told. are rebuilding and a super bowl team. no matter how many excuses... simply should not get blownout like that in my opinion
