God what is it with you folks??? You all think your God's gift to football coaching, which begs the question why aren't you being paid millions of dollars to coach professional football? You think you have all the answers. Get rid of Jimmy G. Get rid of Kyle S. Rebuilding time is here. Christ! Give it a rest.
The entire secondary and half the D-line starters are out due to injuries. What do you expect? The O-line is playing like sh*t but they, too, are missing key players. Half the running backs are injured. If you want to place blame, put it on the two weeks on trash field in New York - that field should be outlawed in the NFL.
The reality is the head coach is possibly the best or certainly one of the best offensive minds in football. Today everyone had a terrible day. But next week we will see Sherman and Moseley back in the secondary; that will improve the entire defense significantly. Jimmy G. has to deal with the high ankle injury, and that may take some time. However, the team is still SB worthy. They are unlikely to get a top 10 draft pick, and they will probably still win enough games to make the playoffs, at which point anything can happen.
You are so quick to give up on a team that made the SB last year just because they didn't win it. This year they have been decimated by injures, and no matter what anyone says officially, that makes a BIG difference.
If you are only a fair weather fan then go someplace else. I sat through the worst years and I watched the best years and I have faith that this team will come back from this devastating loss (and last week's) and show up as the powerhouse team that it is.
If you think I am wrong, then go apply for a professional coaching position and see what results you get.
You are off your rocker.
This team might win 4 games this season if they are lucky.
Currently last in the west with a murderers row schedule coming up.
Rams and Seahawks are going to ritually sodomize this team in the next few weeks.
It would not shock me if we don't see JG again this season. Why play your 28 million dollar QB if he is supposedly battling injury and the season is lost?
It's over this year man. Time to start planning for next season.

This is how I felt.
You gotta get it done when everything is going your way. They couldn't and this start isn't really having the effect it would have if I wasn't expecting something like this. I'm not on the ledge like a lot of niner fans are because I prepared myself for something like this.

We can still pull it together, but this is football. One key injury can ruin a season unlike any other sport.
No thats the NBA.

I'm not panicking at all. I'm just gonna be gonna be in the draft forum way earlier than last year.

Hilarious how people think "they figured out Kyle's scheme" pffffft. Uh the dude has been doing that for years as OC and HC. Settle down, go watch JH and CK and you'll understand what figuring out a scheme looks like. Social justice aside. CK7 was terrible in his final seasons as a pro. Tired of the media who watched highlights of the 49ers at that time act like he was something special.
Yes, yesterdays loss was horrible but I really think the 49ers came into that game thinking they were going to destroy a 1-3 dolphin team. Over confident and got punched in the mouth and coupled with bad decisions by Kyle and leadership did them in.
Should Kyle join Bill Obrien? How about Dan Quinn? How about we go after them?? Lol! If Kyle was avaliable on the market, you better believe he would be the hottest candidate out there.

Last year was our one reprieve from a long stretch of injuries, bad coaching moves, and poor play. While we have better talent, we are now back to that and the only goal we have for this season is what our mindset is. Are we gonna fold like losers or fight like Warner till the bell rings.
This year more than ever, our coaches have failed us. Our offense looks like absolute garbage and what the hell was that cb doing starting. If Spoon couldn't play, don't suit him up. If he can dress, he should've been starting. Putting that dude out there in and of itself cost us the game. Our line can't pass protect for crap and if we have to abandon our run game, we're screwed.

Because nobody other than a triggered fanboi thinks a season is over after 3 loses. Team just got its ass beat but still is +10 point differential on the season. Go be a Jets fan for a month and come back refreshed.

I admire your positive view and really hope you are right, but the reality is that we have serious injuries, our depth is not nearly as good as we hoped, and we have only beaten two teams that have yet to win a game. Our schedule is about to get really difficult. At the beginning of the season I expected we would be 5-0 at this point and then things would be a lot more difficult. I just can't see how this team is going to win enough games this year to make a run.

Yes, we have had a bunch of injuries - Why have we had so much more than our division rivals? Seattle didn't have to be the guinea pig in NY twice - they play both games in December - field issues are already probably taken care of. Cardinals just played the jets (after the field fiasco) and play the Giants in dec. Rams Played the Giants in week 4 after we played both games in NY - and the jets in Dec. Plus, our equipment manager should have been fired.
Yes, we have to panic. Our coaching staff is asleep this season. It all starts with Kyle Shanahan, The team shows up unprepared and not fired up. The biggest disappointment is the offensive line. Players don't know their assignments, who to block.
But, but we went to the Superbowl last year?? We didn't win. The running game carried us last season. The defense played great for most of the Superbowl and but better QB pulled it out. Jimmy Garrapolo is overrated. He is an OK QB, but not the annointed one. In this day and age in the NFL, if you dont have QB that can escape to extend the play or throw the ball quickly, you are pretty much screwed. Jimmy Garrapolo has a bad offensive line - and he doesn't escape well and holds on the ball too long. A recipe for disaster.
Also, our strength, the running game, is not as good this season - which exposes our inept passing game.
Kyle Shanahan says we have to beat the Rams.
The Rams have Aaron Donald, the NFL sack leader.
We have offsensive lineman that escort defensive linemen directly to the QB.
It's going to be another long day.

Tennessee started out 2-3 last year and went to the AFC championship
New England started out 5-0 last year and lost in the wildcard round
Anything can happen. Yeah the team looks bad right now. I do think they will turn it around once they get healthy. Hopefully its not too late to make a playoff run.
