How about a straight up trade of Dante Pettis for John Ross?

Why. Ross can't catch. All he's good for is running straight up the field. We would just trade one guy that isn't playing for a guy that wouldn't really fit Kyle's short passing game philosophy. I don't think they would suddenly be an all out air assault offense any more than they were with Goodwin. If they trade Pettis, get an O linemen or a late round draft pick that could be used to trade up a round or so next year.

in my opinion.... a need for a guy on the d line and o line is greater than a want for a wide out

A change of scenery for two busts. Ain't got nothing to lose.
Seeing that Kerrigan trade idea all over the place. Lol everyone but our front office sees it as a good idea unless there is building steam on it

It's one on the only trades possibles that I see that makes actual sense. Not sure how they make it work cash wise though.

Just think how excited Pettis would be to play on a team named after a cat. He would have a career resurrection

Cash isn't right. Ross was a top 10 pick. Pettis 2nd rd pick. Ross comes with more money attached to him.

how much it will cost for the niners to pull a trade like that?
Going and getting a guy doesn't guarantee they won't get injured for the year, in their first game with us. Then you've traded draft capitol for nothing. Besides, It's likely whoever we get would be a backup, if we have Ford and Bosa back.

IMO, you only do a trade to put your team over the top(i.e Sanders at a 6-0 record). There's too many injuries this year to fix with a trade. Just hope for the best and work with what we got. I'm not in the mood to trade picks either. Not this year.
So sorry about the spelling mistakes. I have a job and a life and can't post 40,000+ times. Get a life

How about AA and his way too expensive contract for Dunlop, Adkins, and Ross from Cincy?

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/10/20/report-geno-atkins-frustrated-by-role-with-bengals/

It's Atkins not Adkins and Dunlap not Dunlop.

And he is a 3t which we drafted Kinlaw for so it doesn't make dollars and it don't make cents.

Lastly, this team is not going to trade AA after they just resigned him in March. Get used to him being here for now.
Any trades will most likely be for players, not draft picks, unless it's a pick coming our way. Pettis could well be trade bait, among others. Seems logical Tomlinson's restructure is posturing for the 3 Nov trade deadline. Probably will be a few other restructures, too. Maybe they could trade Compton back to the Jets? Just kidding, but that'd be funny if it happened.
