You do have a choice it's not to hit him. Ward was looking for contact and lowered his helmet. He was completely unaware of the fact that Wilson was sliding low and in the process hit him in the head helmet to helmet. I don't think Ward is a dirty player but he is a clueless one. That was a bad play on his part.
he had commited to the hit when Wilson stuttered.
What if he gives up on the hit assuming Wilson will slide and Wilson stays up and gets past him.

Don't start Jimmy until he's 100% healthy again. See what you got with CJ and Mullens until then and once Jimmy comes back irregardless of record you evaluate his return to this team next year.
I love Jimmy but this QB controversy will never change until he's out there healthy and we see what his backups can and can't do. And this season is lost even at .500 we aren't winning it all.

How exactly is he going to hold himself accountable? Because the 49ers have had awful injury luck and are missing key players at numerous spots on offense and defense, not just that but having to rely on a bunch of guys that weren't even on the roster a month ago?
