SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS - 2020 Game 8

So Phoenix, if he goes to IR, do you extend keep him on the roster in 2021? And I'm not imply Jimmy is the only or primary problem on offense, just curious that if you shelve him, make that move 49ers are insinuating he might be the one....

I'm saying that there's no point in throwing him out there when his ankle is jacked up and he's clearly a ways from being 100%. This is turning out to be a throwaway season anyways due to the injuries, may as well roll with Mullens for now.

Ok Mullens, lets see you do something like this the entire game on Thursday.

He's going to perform very well Thursday and shock a lot of people watching. He will Remember the last time he played on Thursday night and that ugly performance. If he has the heart like I think, don't count out the 49ers yet
oh well.

With the cap issue we have...your probably right.

Losing to Seattle is just the Norm.

Last year was just epic though

Only way we could beat them was on a last second heroics.

Only way they beat us in the first game was our backup kicker s**tting the bed.

Swings and roundabouts.

Garbage time stats are great. Can't wait for people to jump right back on the Mullens bandwagon.

That being said, we need to IR Jimmy G until his ankle is 100%. He has not looked good most of this season. His throws are sailing high because he can't plant hard.

This. They tried to work around the injury and Shanahan did he best he could but its time to sit him and keep him off the field until he's all the way healthy.

Of course we keep him. When fully healthy, he's a borderline top10 QB.

Only way we move on from Jimmy is if we have another good QB on our roster and we don't. We have a couple of solid backups in Mullens and Beathard.

that makes it less meaningful?
See where Jimmy's foot is in a month after bye. Give him the last 6 games to show what the plan should be going forward.

Shanny was just extended, so maybe, we get to the SB in another 2 or 3 years?

5-10?

more like 1-5

there wont be that much turnover

unless you mean getting our real starters back

Didn't say it wasn't meaningful. Said losing to Seattle is normal. Maybe you need to take another look at our recent history against them. One game doesn't change that.

Just shelf him the rest of the season.

Ryan, Cousins, Foles, Goff, JG cut of same cloth. Meh.

Expect potentially new QB, at least 2 or more on the O line, some one to replace Ford, 1 New LB, possibly whole new secondary.
