SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS - 2020 Game 8

What did we know coming in?

Seattle would score some points. Their defense is weak, especially at CB. We are going to need to score a number of points. Points come out of the passsing game. There is no reason we shouldn't be able to score on these guys through the air.

Kyle tried to win the game on the ground and with defense. Might as well have Harbaugh, except he wants a running qb to cover up his offensive ignorance.

Kyle can't be aggressive, until it's clear the game is otherwise lost.

Kyle does not trust Garoppolo to throw the ball until the game is otherwise lost.

Either Kyle's mindset is too conservative, which has cost him two Super Bowls with large fourth quarter leads, or his quarterbacks are not worthy of trust.

We will be about $30m over the no fans in the stands cap next year, and that approximates Jimmy's cap salary, who would carry almost no dead money.

The trade deadline is Tuesday.

Belichick has lost four in a row with Cam, and he loves Jimmy.

NE is on track to have a high 1st round pick.

Even last year in the playoffs, Kyle didn't trust Jimmy to throw more than eight times a game if he could help it. Sometimes he could. In the Super Bowl, he lost after not putting them away, and then trying to throw too late and when the Chiefs knew it.

Our chances this year to get 6 are now grim.

Offer Jimmy to NE for their 1st, go with Nick the rest of the year, and draft a QB with our or NE's first pick next year.

I love Kyle, but this will be his last chance. Pick a QB, trust him, or leave. Running, conservative teams seldom win Lombardi's against aggressive passing teams, and Kyle hasn't proved he's got the courage to do that.

Honestly it's not bad with this amount of injuries, the season is not over

I think its not impossible if they took a chance on Matt Ryan and drafted a young kid or thought they could fix Sam Darnold while Ryan played another year or two...

Ryan isn't much of an upgrade. He's older, decidedly not mobile and will cost a fortune. May as well draft a QB and roll with Garoppolo for another year or just stay with him and then sign Cousins later.

Yes, how dare he not have 4th and 5th string All Pro caliber players just waiting in the wings.

I think Ryan allows us to stretch the field more.

Bullet points from me, a slightly fanatical fan, since est1985, but an expert by no means.

1. Jimmy is still more injured than he let on.

2. Kyle outthought himself.

3. Mostert is by far and away our best back.

4. Pete Carrol looks like my grandmother.

5. f**k the seahawks.
The most punchable face in sports...not your grandmother

He's the biggest cheerleading HC I've ever seen. Just annoying as can be and makes you hate his teams that much more. Couldn't stand him at USC...can't stand him with the Seahawks.

I think some of the guys forced into starter roles will be great depth for us next year.

Depends what you think is over lol. Best case we squeak into a playoff spot and maybe win a wild card game. Think that is about the most you could hope for this year from this team. If you are a Cowboys fan that is magical, if its us it is a disappointment.

Just shut down Jimmy G the rest of the year and have Mullens/Beathard finish the rest of the year. My brain is now thinking of grabbing a QB with our first pick and get what we can get for Jimmy on a trade. What are the implications cap wise if we move on from him after this season? Hello Zach Wilson!

The cap hit is around 4 mil.
I don't think the Seahawks OL know how to play very well.
I constantly saw them bearhug our DLmen from behind and land on top of them on the ground.
And they wouldn't let our guys move after that.
Doesn't seem like good technique.

Super Bowl winning coaches have the courage to take their chances on offense. I haven't seen that in Shanahan.

And how old is Belichick? I bet he would, although if you are right, I'd still take the second we gave for him.
