On this team, who isn't injury prone?

Honestly- this is a lost season so the consensus is right from what I have read so far - Whomever isn't thought to be here and be a productive player beyond next season is expendable imo.

I wonder what the Chiefs would look like this year without Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Mathieu, Helaire, Hill......and so on.
I think the coaching staff and front office has done a great job handling this injury plagued season. There is no tanking in this team, but moves like the Kwon trade for cap space are needed.
This team can't simply sustain this rash of injuries every game. So let's not sell off what's left on the roster that's producing and potentially going to help next year and beyond.

There are really only a handful of guys with much value that are not hurt. We should consider unloading some cap for sure as we are going to be over the cap even with the Kwon trade. Also some older Vets on last year of salary so we might at least get some return on the player. We need money to sign Williams and Warner and several more. I would look at for sure Ward and his over bloated under performing salary as #1. Sherman if someone believes he is healthy enough that need a decent corner for the stretch run maybe we could get mid round 4-5 pick for him #2. Verrett is always one play away from being on IR and with his play might net us a decent draft pick #3. Next would be AA and overly huge salary. But that would be difficult for the front office to admit it picked the wrong guy twice.#4. Nobody else really brings any trade value (IE Pettis) or they are hurt.

Yeah why do people wanna shop Verret? Remember we have to try and resign Sherman, Mosley AND Kwan this off-season right?
Verrett's injury history and miraculous turn around this year means IMO, he cannot demand a high contract.......even if he gets a pick a game the rest of the way, LOL.

I would go full madden mode right now and Trade the following Players:
LT Williams: 3-4th round pick
CB Verrett: 4th round pick
RB Mckinnon: 7th round pick
WR Pettis: send a 7th round to get rid of(JK)
WR Taylor: to Patriots for a 6th rounder

With the shortage of great CBs, someone will take a chance. No doubt

Alright trading deadline is here. With the record as it is and a mounting injuries piling up, is it time to trade some of our players for teams looking to get over the hump. With Kwon traded, who else you want to move?
What assets are you trying to liquidiate? This team is going to be a super bowl contender next year. The 49ers were going to regress this year. Time to not overreact here.
Kwon was traded because he's not much better than Greenlaw and Greenlaw makes a fraction of what Kwon makes. It's a miracle someone wanted Kwon.

Because we can get something for him right now, versus him walking as a free agent we can't afford ?

I don't think Mckinnon, Pettis or Taylor hold any trade value. Verrett for a 4th would be great but would want a 3rd min for Williams. I also think Sherman is worth a 5 and Ward a 5 or 6plus unload his salary for next year.

I think they can be traded on IR, but they can't be cut.
