SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS - 2020 Game 10

The 49ers game thread today is even more comical than normal. Thank you to all of the posters who were good for some great laughs. How dare this team not go out there and wipe the floor with the Saints? Today was about as bad as year 1 when people were saying Shanahan picked Brian Hoyer to be our franchise QB. I really need to join another NFL team forum and see if it's this bad elsewhere.
This is what happens when your HC has too much say in the personnel! Shanny is showing why a GM is necessary.

It's not... except maybe the saints boards. They are convinced the referees are out to screw them.

They start threads about it lol

You know what....NO I DON'T, HES A STUBBORN,LACK OF CHANGE HEAD COACH..HE'LL NEVER WIN A SUPER BOWL UNLESS HE CHANGES

Agree 100%. Wish we had harbaugh back.... you see how good Michigan looks?

Chip Kelly is crushing it.

Tomsula is killing it.

And we're stuck with Shanahan and his terrible roster :(. The only reason we lose is Shanahans play-calling. Name one other coach in this league that wouldn't be dominating with our current roster. Coaches out there BEGGING to play guards at center and playing UDFA QBs and practice squad receivers.

You see how good tampa looked against the saints last week? And we can't beat them???

Kyle blows

PS go root for another team.

What's funny is there is a Saints fan who posted that the Niners should be embarrassed losing to the Saints after Brees went down. Did he happen to look at the injuries the Niners are dealing with?
We lose: Well it's Shanny's fault he couldnt make these backups work together.

We win: Well it's Shanny's fault for winning a meaningless game and screwing up our draft order.

You aint lying. Just a few weeks ago there was a thread Iin here asking if we should.tank and half the people saying yes. Now Kyle is a terrible one fluke season HC. His terrible roster management is the reason we're not beating one of the best teams in the league with our backups.
Off topic but QB's shouldn't be able to win the MVP if they aren't allowed to be touched.
On a positive note the Niners secondary shut down both Thomas and Sanders and all their Wide Receivers and TE's. Thomas 2 catches for 27 yards and Sanders 1 catch for 5 yards. Kamara did all the damage. But it was the Niners special teams that did them in.
seems like once the scripted plays of the first few drives are over - Mullens can't do anything. He literally scores points at one point in the game and then nothing for the rest of the game - he has done that on multiple occasions.

Yeah he's a straight up backup for a reason...this team needs a new QB that can make plays
We have a backup QB, 5th or 6th string RB's, backup TE, missing Debo, 3rd or forth string center. The offense is not good right now. Our defense played pretty good considering the poor performance by the offense and Special teams, not to mention all the missing starters.
Look, it's not a good year for the Niners, best we can hope for is to somehow squeak into the playoffs, which is really just wishful thinking.
What the team can realistically get from this season is learning what they really have as backups and depth, Hopefully they make good decisions on who they should build with next year, not sentimental ones.
In my opinion Trent Taylor and Jet should not be back next year and if Richburg can't stay healthy he should go as well. On defense Ford can't stay healthy so he probably needs to go, and Tart and Ward should be very nervous, They are average players only.
Highlights for the season, rookies Aiyuk and Kinlaw could be stars in the making. Warner is getting better and better. Hyder and Givens great dline depth. Moseley and Verrett and playing pretty good.
Tuff season so far.

Agreed. The need for this team to go QB in round 1 gets louder and louder with each loss. Hope Shanahan and Lynch see it too, and recognize the need to trade up.

Saleh has them playing pretty well, all things considered
