SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at LOS ANGELES RAMS - 2020 Game 11

That is the trick to being winners. Don't let adversity get you down.

True that, because this team has been given every legitimate excuse under-the-sun, to quit !
As much as we s**t on Mullens, he made some nice plays down the stretch to lead them to the field goal at the end.

He probably meant in the showers after the game

What a game by the defense.
Hyder has to get the extension but he is gonna be expensive.
Verrett has to the priority #1 this off-season because when healthy he is amazing. Maybe we can work an incentive-based contract.
Ward is a monster playing in the box and he should stay there the rest of his contract.
Deebo is a real WR and not a RB playing WR. Once we get a QB that can throw deep next year we´ll have a scary WR-duo.
Moster and Wilson are good but they´ll need to stay healthy next year.
McGlinchey shouldn´t play anymore. I wanna see Brunskill ar RT and McKivitz ar RG the rest of the year.

Saleh has turned into a really good DC

100% agree this said we still need another QB

How about Goff? He is straight garbage. I'd love to see Goff with Donald hunting him down.

Takeaways:

Shanahan, despite having a decimated roster, continues to have everyone playing hard.

Saleh's defense had a hell of a game. He's shown himself to be a solid D coach this year when his best chess piece (Bosa) has been out essentially all year. Overcoming the missed games of Ford and Sherman and some other role players, too.

Verrett is having a baller season. Great to see.

Deebo is legit. Maybe not a pure #1 WR, but him with Aiyuk should be great compliments to Kittle. Just need a QB to get them the ball consistently when they're all in, whether a rebounding Jimmy G or a new guy.

Mullens is who we though he was. An okay back up in a pinch, but not a guy you can win a lot of games with.

Mostert is a step above the other RBs on the roster. Sucks he misses so much time. Wilson is pretty good, too, if he hangs on to the ball. If these guys can be healthy it would be huge for 2021.

OL needs serious work. McGlinchey continues to be a total disappointment in pass protection this year.

Juice earns his paycheck.

This about sums it up. I have no problems with this take
so much more left out

You are welcome to cover more.

Nope. Those were my observations. I don't have much hope for squeaking into the playoffs and making a legit run. If it happens I won't begrudge it. But I've mostly stayed away from this part of the forum the last month, so here was my brief thoughts on today's game, which I only partially saw since I'm spending time with family.

Leadership often has to build up to reap the reward later. A guy like Sherman having Mullen's back can only help Mullens commit to do better next week.
So next weeks game versus the Bills is huge on whether we van make a serious playoff push. If we can beat the Bills, we should be able to beat the Cowboys & Washington football team with a healthy team. Jimmy G & Kittle back for end of season? 1 week at a time
