Buffalo actually has or at least had at one time a very strong Mafia presence going all the way back to the 30's. I saw a heated argument between a local Mafia dude and someone who owed him money. it took place right in front of several people in a hotel bar that I was staying at. The guy was threatening to cut his heart out and all kinds of stuff. It was like watching a movie. I asked the bar tender what it was all about after they left and he just said local mob stuff like it happened all the time. Don't mess with Buffalo fans.

It's gone down a lot, but it used to be pretty bad.
One poor girl was a musician and had her hands broken due to her dad not paying a debt.
Problem is, you don't know who is or isn't connected. So it's better just not to cross anyone west of Tonawanda.
And the cops don't get involved with the mafia dealings.

I went to the Bills/Niner game back when Kap made his first start after the whole kneeling thing.
It was not a pretty sight. I mean I'm talking about some really f**ked up things happening during the tailgate.
