I'm not going that far. Ward has plenty of experience covering the slot.

Agreed, and we have this linebacker named Warner that has shown he can cover wide outs when called upon

The 49ers are down to their fourth string cornerback at nickel.
Put Ward at slot CB, have Harris and Moore be the safeties? Maybe in certain situations. The last time the 49ers had a 4th/5th string CB playing, Ryan Fitzmagic showed up. Just keep that 5th stringer away from Diggs.
