Plenty of teams run some W9 in their scheme.
Only 2 teams in the NFL run base wide 9: Eagles and 49ers.

Shanahan loses his "s**tty" qb, falls flat on his face. Genius my ass.

I don't know that I've ever heard @DonteWhitner @IWilliams95 and @TakeoSpikes51 agree on anything … until now. They all think the same guy should replace Robert Saleh, if he gets hired elsewhere.https://t.co/sSv4UxSSk8

I am really okay with this. I really like what we are doing on that side of the ball. I love the continuity of hiring in house. Another bonus is we would prbably have him for 3 years or so before teams started noticing him as a HC candidate if he kills it as a DC.

I'm on board with Demeco Ryans provided he doesn't overhaul anything scheme wise. I like what the 49ers have going.

Kinda sucks that we have to wait till Saleh gets hired elsewhere to start looking for a DC. Might be too late by then. Raiders already requested to interview Gus Bradley

That makes a lot of sense to me. Especially someone that was a MIKE. The only question is how well does Demeco scout and come up with gameplans. Playcalling is one thing, gameplanning is another and shows the players if you know what you're doing.

Bring in gus Bradley. However I srsly doubt any team would be dumb enough to make Salah a HC.
