Pretty much. Be a Browns fan if you want to celebrate every win no matter the circumstance. We're here for Super Bowls.

Although I don't think the it's ok to lose applies here.

Look at all those high picks over the last 20 years (most not even with the team anymore) and they're just now about to make the playoffs for the first time in almost 20 years.

Lol right? He uses the Browns as an example yet fails to realize that the Browns have been picking in the top 10 for 20 years straight. They're not exactly "winning Super Bowls".

Not if the plan is to move up regardless...just cost more

AJ Jenkins picked #1, and Brady picked at what # again?

What makes that the plan? When it's all said and done, Mac Jones could have a better career than Zach Wilson. Draft position isn't the be all end all, even when it comes to QBs.

Most teams drafting high have an awful team/organization, they didn't just go to the Super Bowl...SF got snake bitten by a stupid amount of injuries that we haven't seen in a while. They don't suck nor do they have a bad coaching staff. It was/is an opportunity to replace/upgrade the most important position in sports and put him on a good roster (that can remain good/upgrade because of freed up cash)...it's not hard to get that. Losing games at this stage of the game isn't some horrible scenario. Pay you dues suck it up and get ready for the future... longevity is what matters not week 16 vs AZ.

Happy for the players and I never expect them to "tank" that s**t doesn't really happen in football. But calling fans horrible for realizing what is a stake for the betterment of the team is weak. I want to s**t talk teams because we're winning 10+ wins EVERY YR, not winning 6 games and have no real QB.

Who says Jones will be there? You? They might have to move up for him just as well. QBs always get pushed up.

Again this game did nothing to benefit them really this yr or in the draft...they're not going to the playoffs, they still have a f**k ton of players they have to replace and upgrade. Great moral victory, cool. Means nothing after next week.

And in 2019 we we moved up 4-5 spots in the last week of the season allowing us to to take Bosa. Moving up helps too.

When I'm watching the game, I'm actively rooting for the 49ers. My heart wants them to win. I get excited when wilson is running open. Or when kittle is barreling down the field. My head though is telling me that this isn't what is best for the team.

Think of it this way, things that feel good aren't always good for you, like meth. Or so I've heard.

I guarantee more 1st round picks pan out than 5 or 6th round picks.

What's the plan?
Some of you guys in here would have rather drafted Mayfield, Darnold, it Rosen over Lamar Jackson.

So then we agree then that there are no guarantees in the draft then, regardless of where you're picking. Cool.

Anyway, tbh if we lost I wouldn't have been devastated or anything, of course draft position is a silver lining. But I'll never root for the squad to lose. Not in my DNA.
