Offensively:
C of the future (he could start as all-around IOL depth)
QB of the future, potentially (at minimum, upgrade QB2)
RB depth (since they all get hurt every year)
TE depth (since Kittle plays so hard he may get dinged up, plus we could really use another star to take pressure off him)
WR depth (we need a starter and a slot guy, Deebo is an injury risk and not really a vertical threat or size mismatch)

Defensively:
CB of the future/depth (protect us with Verret and Williams' injury histories and them only being on 1-year deals)
LB depth (need a #3 LB who can play all spots and potentially upgrade over Al-Shaair)
DE depth (particularly speed -- Ford may not play again, Bosa coming off injury, Hyder gone, AA slow and looking meh)

So basically we need starter quality depth for every position that we dont have a decent starter under contract for the next 3 years...

Seems like 31 other teams may be in the same predicament.
I have a question for anyone on the forum.

There is a list of trending topics ( usually about 8) that changes from time to time. What does it take to get a topic to jump onto that list? Is it based on a set number of people looking at it or is it base on the number of posts? Just curious.

You are certainly correct. Lots of one year deals that need to have long term plans in place this year. Another is BOTH G spots. Tomlinson is on the last year of his contract IIRC and it's unlikely Brunskill is the long term answer.

Interesting note: I was reviewing the New England Pats draft after Brady injured his knee (out for the year) Pats didn't draft a QB the next year after the injury, but they did draft a lot of OLinemen. (three OLine picks in the year after Tom's knee injury) plus I think they signed a free agent tackle. Pats didn't draft a QB until Jimmy when Tom was about 37 when usually most QB's are fading due to age. Both Joe and Steve Young retired at the age of 38. So based on what the Pats did after Tom's knee injury, ShanaLynch may draft a QB, but not at the #12 pick.

You mean, Hoodie decided to beef up his pass protection for his HOF classic drop back QB after a knee injury? Odd concept. We signed Tom Compton. LOL

Maybe they're learning! We'll see...
Niners have a cornerstone at Edge with Bosa, a Cornerstone at Linebacker with Warner. Why not now get a cornerstone at Corner with Horn. The defense will be set for years.

Well just keep in mind Hoodie is 20+ years older than our young coach. At Kyles age, Hoodie had zero super bowl appearances and 3 straight loosing seasons.

I wonder how many NFL front offices would straight up trade their roster for ours. Serious Question
