Marty Mayhew, adios

Ouch, this one hurts. Good guy , great F.O talent. As Saleh will find out with his new team, Marty will find out with WASH. We will miss you, Marty and thanks for your expertise and talent. Now we see how good John L and Peters are together with Kyle at FA and draft time. We are racking up those extra 3rd round picks but still...good coaches and great F.O guys are NOT a dime a dozen. They are a real treat and key to the team's success.

Between talent loss, coaching loss, and F.O loss, it feels like we are a carcass out on the desert with a bunch of vultures circling around. Everybody seems to be picking off our guys. For our former DC and part of our FO triumvirate, you both will miss the 49ers organization...good luck to you both....as it is likely you both will need it.

Still our FO remains well grounded wiht JL/Peters/Kyle. Cap won't get any easier, nor will FA or draft. But we still got great guys there and i expect them to continue doing their first class jobs. Oh, and put an asterisk beside this season as between prodigious # of injuries and covid, we got decimated like no team i have ever seen before. 2021 definitely has to be better in that regard.
