2021 Free Agency and Draft strategy

So far, with the moves we have made, this feels and smells like a reload. Not, say, a 2 year mini-rebuild. Me thinks we are taking our shot at the Chip this year. And I know some of you are going to say, well, of course, we are. But with as many FA's as we have it might have been tempting to say, welp, f**k it, let's rebuild and try for next year.

So far we have

Kept: Juice, JV, Moseley, T WIll 6 yearrrrrrrssssssss, one hundred thirrrrrrrrrtyyyyyyy-------eiggggggghhhhhhttttttttttt milllllllllllllllllllllllllionnnnnnn dollllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssss; Mack on his way; DOCTOR Jones is staying, so is DJ; "Pop" Tartt stays.

We are shedding Richburg, likely Dee Ford (restructure), Bourne identity is GONE! Spoon is headed to the Thunderchickens. Goodwin gone, again! Soly gone!

We are shedding Richburg, likely Dee Ford (Pending),

Like trimming the fat off the meat. Really started last year too with Kwon getting traded. You can feel the pendulum moving towards retaining the good guys when possible. Will nut 100% when Warner is extended one of these days.

I think it's a hedge bets reload. If we are going all-in for a SB trophy this year, we'd likely restructure Garoppolo, Tomlinson, and Armstead to free up cash space this year. That way, we can make a big splash in FA.

But we haven't touched Garoppolo's contract, and likely won't in order to minimize negative impact to our 2022 cap space.

That's what I'm assuming about Jimmy. AA needs to restructure though forsure.

Yeah probably makes sense to gauge what future salary cap will be then pull the trigger on an extension.

Strategy is always plug all holes in Free Agency and upgrade in the Draft.

Just need to resign Trent and I'll be happy so far. Would be nice to get Linsley though.

So draft Slater at 12? Works for me since it looks like Mike Mac isn't going to pan out

49ers must add IOL either FA or draft. Personally I go after Alex Mack and Gabe Jackson to build a premium line. I really doubt we get rid of Jimmy G so the best plan of action is boosting the protection.
