Blue was a great 49er in his day. Sadly, all the blows to the head he took from guys like Deacon Jones spiraled him into a full-blown case of depression and dementia. He died at only 65 years old. I was a little surprised he did not get some mention in the Concussion movie.

i thought those deacon head slaps were very cool when i was a kid.. in looking back.. not so much

if only nfl players would have all been like conrad dobler back then and just bit people.. things would have turned out better. cc is bringing the old school today
