Yes. We all know Mack is a ~2 year idea with us still drafting a rookie this year to groom. Fine by me. Pick a center in round 2 for all I care... after a tackle/guard in the first!

As someone who has followed Kyle Shanahan throughout the years, I remember how much of an impact he had for the Falcons offense in 2016. Let's hope for a similar impact this year!

Probably even more than that. He's only a couple years older than Linsley and look at what he signed for. We all would've loved Hudson, but it was never really realistic. Mack is a good stop gap until we groom a replacement.

I'm in. I certainly would have preferred Lindsey/Hudson as the long term plan and save that draft pick but this is certainly not a bad idea or option either. The key is finding his young replacement to meet Mack peak play standards. Remember, that's what we brought Sherman here for and we never found his young replacement. Not even close.

I think we brought in Sherman to help transition the scheme and to improve the defense. Mission accomplished.

nah they're not picking OL in the first after this...only if they trade McG.

They're not gonna pick a center/OG in the top 50 either at this point.

day 3 with someone like Kendrick Green/Jackson/Christensen/Hoge.... someone who's tailor made for this scheme and can play both spots.

Yah when you really look at it the top centers are not scheme fits for 9ers. Myers is closest and even he might not be the best fit.

Even if he's not the athlete he used to be, his experience in making the correct protection calls will help immensely and should prevent some of those instances when there is a free rusher at the QB. Draft a raw project at Center and let him learn a season or two.
