I believe only Juice and Trent Williams were desirable by other teams. Verrett just wants to prove himself this year to cash next year.
Saleh loves K'waun and Tartt, but the Jets have Marcus Maye and K'waun is still available. My guess is, just as Verrett, durability risk with those guys.
The Jets are rebuilding with a new coaching staff most likely a new HC. They went to pay Jarrad Davis who has never being any good.

Worried bringing back guys that we know what they can do?

i'm more worried about being able to use my season tickets and attend some games this year. idgaf who's on the roster. but i think our roster is good at the moment.
Do you think if Salah does not even want to get even a single one of his former players and our free agents are not exciting any teams out there, that just maybe our players are not good enough or do you blame this on this weird offseason?
not a concern for me at all

Yes, the bar we have been going to for the last 15 years to watch games let our favorite employees go. Since their food and tv's suck we are not going to be going there anymore so now we need to find a new place. Worried it won't have good food

Joe Douglas has final say. Saleh can give his opinion on a player and be overruled.

But most of our free agents, especially on our defensive side either came back on cheap deals or are still out there not signed!
what makes this weird too is that, Robert Salah had his picks of any number of his former players and did not come sniffing around!! The only player signed away is Ahkello Witherspoon (Seahawks!!) who was up and down during his time with 49ers!

It was a major reach by a lot of posters here just assuming that Saleh loves every player on our defense. to me it shows that Saleh is smart. you just don't wanna waste time and cap space on Solly, Tartt or Spoon.

Isn't Mack the first player Kyle has brought over from his coordinator time at Atlanta? Oh yeah, Coleman too but meh on that one. Was there anyone else?

Thread should end here. Saleh doesn't have personnel control the way Shanahan does. Douglas has the final say on all roster moves. I'm sure Saleh is providing his input but it doesn't come down to him.

What's the concern? Why is it a problem that the free agents from our Super Bowl team aren't supposedly getting interest?
I assume you're worried that because our guys aren't getting snatched up, it reflects that our Front Office doesn't draft/sign well? That's untrue because the FO built a roster that trounced the NFC and got us a Super Bowl appearance.
I think the only player that this question really applies to is K'Waun Williams. But who's to say that he hasn't quietly received offers and is mulling them over? Who's to say that maybe teams want to see if they can find a slot corner in the draft at a cheaper price? K'Waun Williams is a top 5 nickelback in the NFL, but at the same time, he's still just a nickelback... He's elite at what he does, but plays a role position, maybe playing 60% of defensive snaps. There are other priorities than a CB3.

Unless a player is a pro bowler, most teams probably value their own players more than other teams do. The really good free agents usually get re-signed by their own team unless they just can't find a way to get him under the cap or maybe they see a drop off.
