Legit for a late 3rd rounder maybe. Shanahan drafted Beathard with the idea that he might in time develop into another Cousins. It didn't happen.
Big deal. Bill Walsh drafted Montana and then told the Colts to pass on Peyton Manning, go defense and draft Brian Griese in the 2nd round instead. Then he advocated for Gio Carmazzi. Even the best miss and miss frequently.

One reason to keep Garoppolo around for at least the start of the season (trade deadline): The NFL may have a virtual offseason for the second straight year. It's going to be hard to get a rookie QB entirely up to speed for Week 1.

Lynch + Shanahan are feeling the heat most likely. This reeks of desperation during a QB class that isn't anything to sneeze at. Still beats Jimmy Garbage under center.

Probably gonna be Lance, raw unlimited potential qb to sit behind Jimmy. Fields and Jones are day 1 starters

I mean there aren't any true studs like DeShone Kizer but there's a few good prospects.

Best bet would be Jimmy playing all season and having a spectacular year upping his trade value significantly.
