The same idiots who says "Lance is a bust" were thinking the same about Josh Allen and Justin Herbert

I am not buying all this for Jones...you wait till the draft and see if he is there at like 10...you dont hop up there now to 3.

Lynch and Shanny must not like their jobs if they move up to 3 for a guy who'd be there at 12.

How do you guys know this, do any of you have access to other teams draft boards? How many times have we seen a team value a QB higher over the one the media thought was gonna be the choice?

ATL for example have been mostly successful with Matt Ryan, maybe they want to continue in that tradition of having a pocket QB, they could have Mac as the #1 QB on their board.

And you guys also don't know what our FO knows. Leaks happen a lot, and it's possible that we knew the QB who we wanted at #12 is not gonna be there.

I am not holding anything against him. I am talking about the 49ers want to win this year. They brought everyone back. If you are starting a rookie QB you arent winning & literally everything coming out says that is what the 49ers will do. Redshirt the rookie and have him ready to go next season.

Then why bring it up?

This is super easy to understand. What aren't you getting?

you are embarassing yourself....s**tting on Herbert doesnt make your arguement for what we do this year.

The 9ers will take Trey Lance now.

Jimmy will start because no rookie is going to play better Jimmy at this point and we aren't going to throw our season away.

yeah i just dont see kyle trading up for fields or jones
First thing I thought about when I heard the news was the Niners have solid intel the Jets aren't taking Wilson at #2. If they were, then the trade is with them, not Miami. Pretty sure Shanahan wants Wilson...he fits Coach's offense very well. Another thought is WRT Lance...he certainly didn't hurt himself at his Pro Day...in fact, he blew it up. His experience level could be a red flag for our braintrust...if so, I get it. I think if the Pats offer a 2nd or even 3rd rd pick for JG, the Niners take it. Their 3rd rd pick is much better than the end-of-the-rounder they gave up to Miami. All of this is pure conjecture, but at a minimum this trade executes what most of us have thought...they're putting their chips into the center of the table for a QB not named Jimmy G.

zero reason to trade him this year.

It is hilarious that these people don't understand Jimmy is the qb this year

Keep fighting the good fight,...lol

i am not sold on the Jets drafting a QB that high and retaining Darnold. they may be poised to trade down and 9ers dont care because they like the top 3 or 4 Qbs.

When they went 1-5 from weeks 7-12 he threw 11 TDs and 6 INTs with an 84 QB rating. Wasn't just the defense.

yep, this will define kyle and johns career

Ehh, I'd agree but, kinda like the Seahawks, Shanahan and Lynch are 50/50 with firsts... soooo, if the cap is managed and they avoid the "Ford's" of the world... it may be a push.

Especially if they get a franchise player this year.
i would have taded 12 and next 2 years' first rounder for Watson.. Watson is proven.. anyone can turn into Ryan Leaf...

If the Jets don't take a QB i don't see how they then don't trade down a few spots...this makes me nervous...
Wonder if we can turn around and trade the #3 spot for a higher ransom....that would be quite a whirlwind if they could.
