The 9ers will take Trey Lance now.

Jimmy will start because no rookie is going to play better Jimmy at this point and we aren't going to throw our season away.

yeah i just dont see kyle trading up for fields or jones

i am not sold on the Jets drafting a QB that high and retaining Darnold. they may be poised to trade down and 9ers dont care because they like the top 3 or 4 Qbs.

I disagree unless you are telling me the 9ers don't like Zach Wilson.

I am pretty sure Shanny and Lynch have a position on their preference on which QB they want. Even if is between the top 3 QBs, the 9ers will still have a position on which one they prefer. And if they are willing to trade up to #3, they were willing to trade up to #2. I am pretty sure the Jets refused to trade down with us. Either they don't want to fall to #12 or they want Zach Wilson, but most likely the latter in my opinion.
My biggest concern is the FO track record of past QB evaluations...

a couple recent gems

-niners should draft trubisky
-fred warner is a glorified special teamer

If I've learned anything about the NFL Draft its that drafting prospects based on pro days ALWAYS works out. Hopefully the Jets learned that too!

I can't imagine that John and Kyle have the top three quarterbacks all rated that high. And I really hope it's not for Fields.

What if the Jets trade out of #2. If they are not looking for a QB, they have a ton of holes to fill. Does Saleh immediately become a traitor?
We have to be okay with the top 3 QBs, period. Otherwise this trade is completely irresponsible.

We traded up to get Mac Jones.

This place would implode...

I really hope Jones is the pick...

Let those who don't like it complain. If Jones is the pick and he turns out to be who Kyle thinks he can be, the last laugh will be had by Kyle in said scenario.

I don't care who it is really, I just hope whoever it is develops into our FQB.

Omfg Simms probably knows, I may be close to being done with Kyle and this regime if this happens. Come to think of it I'm getting a sickening feeling it's going to happen

Yep typical move up and Jack up the pick to someone we could have waited for in the 12th spot... it's 😨🤡

Yeah, I'd think they'd be ok with Wilson, Lance or Fields.

There must at least 3 they equally like.

Not sure if that is a good thing or not.

In my mind and hopes, this trade is to get Wilson. If it is for Jones, we'll be the laughingstock of the draft taking a guy who might have made it to 12. I'm not sold on the other 2 QBs, maybe the front office is sold on one of them.

49ers aren't getting to a Superbowl with a rookie QB.... A healthy Jimmy G gets you into the playoffs.

We'll know soon enough. If they're going to deal Garoppolo then they'll deal him before the draft.

Or immediately after they take a QB at 3.

QB is a crapshoot. For every Manning, you get 5 Leafs... A first round pick is usually a guy that will start, not be a star player... you would like them to be a star... but, history has shown that the draft is a crap shoot.

I'm a USC guy... and I'll tell ya, playing QB at SC seems to be an easier job than playing QB in the NFL.... and observation shows.

I'm not upset with the deal... I'm a bit numb after the Thomas Foster experience... so, what the hell, right.

It's not like TB turned that corner through expert first round drafting... quite the opposite.

We don't know if the 49ers spoke to Saleh..but considering the amount they gave up for that pick at this time is interesting. Usually, at draft time you would make such when when you KNOW your guy is there. In this case, you don't know...or do you??

If the Jets don't take a QB i don't see how they then don't trade down a few spots...this makes me nervous...

ya...Slater and Pewell are good prospects, but neither of them scream out future HOF can't miss OT...

they are either taking a QB or moving down.

Pitts would be the perfect piece to add for Darnold. His size and speed are unique. He will be a superstar. I could easily see him going #2.
