Mac Jones on mobility, backs himself.

Didn't need to run, because the scheme didn't ask him to.

Kid is a fresh change to listen to over Jimmy G and by all reports is rain man when it comes to football.

If people just dig a little deeper into this kid they will see why we are picking him at 3.
He was torching his own defence on the Scout team.

That's the problem... people are digging deeper and they are not liking what they are seeing

Not a big fan of Grant but i can see this happening.
Two things I like about Mac....even though I want Fields.

The way he manipulates CBs with his shoulders and pumps - creates separation for his receivers with this skill. Aiyuk will be coming down with bombs as a result. He looks to have complete co trol of everything that is going on around him on the field as an elite distributor to play makers.

The fact that Devonta Smith immediately said Mac Jones when asked Tua or Mac Jones. Didn't even have to think twice.

That is what I'll keep telling myself if we draft him. There is lots to like.

Still want Fields though.
Shanny doesn't need a QB that processes all the progressions lightning fast out the gate because he schemes things up so well that usually it's the first or second read that's open. He just needs someone that can run the offense and make all the throws, plus improvise if things breakdown.

Signs point to non Jones QBs.

🤣

Are you hearng yourself ?

Shannahan has stated ad nauseam that he needs his quarterback to go thorough his progressions and take the right read.

The first read isn't always going to be open.

Funny how people just sprout stuff that has no truth at all to make it fit their agenda 😁

Yeah, I'd take either one - they both have game.

Fans don't care because all they want is to be entertained. Skill doesn't matter if you can't run the ball.

At 3, you need to get a potential game changer. There are a half dozen Mac Jones every draft. He's not a football "rain man". He's smart, like every QB. College smart and NFL smart are 2 different things. NFL defenses deal with guys much smarter than Mac every week. If your justification at 3 is "hes not an athlete, can't make off schedule plays, has an ok arm but he's smart" that's not good enough in the nfl

With 18 days to go before the draft, don't be surprised if the opinions swing back to the smokescreen theory. All it takes is one or two saying their sources are telling them that Fields is really the guy and the predictions will shift. They have to have something to write about the next 2 weeks. Everyone will be trying to find a new scoop..

I'm just waiting for this too, it's almost guaranteed imo lol

Didn't Mac just destroy every single SEC opponent he played having one of the best college seasons ever? Where are you guys getting your ideas that he's not a "game changer". What evidence do you have? His national championship? His godly stats? His 77+% completion percentage? His record breaking season "half dozen guys" have every year?

You are making this up.

Nobody here knows how football smart he truly is or isn't. But we do know that according to Sark, he had more on his plate than any other college QB that Sark has ever coached.
