I can do better than all these insiders by saying I predict it will be either Wilson, Fields, Jones, or Lance. I guarantee I will be 100% correct.

Sure doesn't sound like Wilson.

Garapollo has a no trade clause so he can control where he goes. It isn't a terrible situation for him or the 49ers. He gets to at least start the year and show he is back from injury and if a trade is worked out mid-season it could be to a team he likes with a new deal attached. Maximizes value for both parties.

Montana - Young

If Garoppolo balls out and they keep him one more year, the further along Mac Jones will be when it's his time.

Shanahan probably has PTSD with his QBs getting hurt so its not farfetched to think he would double down at the position. If its Fields or Lance, we probably keep Garappolo. If its Jones or Wilson, he probably gets rid of JimmyG. The only reason why I think JimmyG wont stick around is that we have been looking for cheap backup QBs this offseason (Dalton & Flacco)

Mac Jones it is.

This tweet screams Fields or Lance for me not Jones.

Prepare your butthole.
We´ll see. But I think Kyle is going for a dual threat this time. And by the way Mac Jones was quite the player at Alabama this year so I won´t be that mad either with him.

I really don't want Jones. That would be awful. Can we for once please get a dynamic guy at QB?

Surely Shanahan and Saleh are close enough to talk who they want and be comfortable with current position/player in draft?

No way we make this move unless we're happy with the top 2 QB's after Lawrence. Don't think we needed to talk to anyone, just be happy we could get our guy at 3 - whoever it is.

I can't imagine they would they would be happy with either way. Shanahan strikes me as the "I WANT HIM" type of guy.

Yup. I don't think Kyle is fine with either of two guys. He knows what the Jets are doing and knows his guy will be there at #3. At that point he ponied up the price to get to number 3.
interesting

I have the feeling Shanny wants some escapability and mobility.

I'd imagine him watching Wilson, Mahomes, and Murray on their feet makes the gears turn.

I'm not seeing where the escapability, mobility or dynamic come into the comment by Shanny?
And another.

If you want Jones, you don't have to move all the way up to #3 to get him. You could easily trade up to the top ten on draft day if that's who you really want. There's no need to give up 2 firsts to get Jones when there's that much QB talent on the board. For this reason it means that Shanny/Lynch are thinking that whoever their guy is, he will be gone by #4. Show me one single recent mock with Jones going at high as #4.......

The point seems to be, that with the Jags, Eagles, and Broncos, for sure, and the Jets, Falcons, Panthers, and now likely Texans all wanting a QP picking ahead of SF and all wanting a QB, Jones could very well be gone before the 49er's #12 pick.

So, no, there is no certainty at all that Jones would still be on the board at #12. In fact, if he is the #4 rated QB, as many say, he likely would be gone by #12.
wilson to nyj confirmed lol
