Man, all this Montana to Young talk is f**king ridiculous. REMIND YOURSELVES OF THIS FACT:

JOE FRIGGIN' BROCEPHUS MONTANA NEVER LOST A SUPER BOWL AND WON FOUR OF THEM BEFORE INJURY AND TIME FORCED HIM TO GIVE UP THE REIGNS.

Jimmy G, has lost a Super Bowl, and has yet to win one, let alone, FOUR OF DEM MOTHERf**kERS. Please stop with the Montana and Young talk, eh? I know the hipsters might like it, but be a better fan and tell them to shut the f**k up. Winning is winning. Joe won, Steve won, Jimmy, as much as I like him, has not. Hence, why in the commercial, he carried the bags.

daaaam if we had that guy on this team.....just hand us the trophy we can skip the stompings

That kid is cut pretty well.

if he didn't look and even act like such a douche, he would be my favorite prospect (outside of Lawrence) in this draft class. He's got some Johnny football in him

Explain that. I don't see it.
If Wilson is unavailable, I wonder if the play is
- to trade the pick back for other picks or
- for Watson

The fact that there are potentially 3 quarterbacks we are talking about taking with the 3rd pick... does that speak to the talent of the top qb prospects in this draft or to the importance of needing an elite quarterback in this league?

All of the above. Though I think Lance is a major beneficiary of Josh Allen having a big year. Fields to me is a lot more proven, having played big on the biggest stages while still being a tremendous athlete with a big arm as well.

It speaks to the fact that the rest of the NFC west has Russell Wilson, Stafford, and Murray, and we have Garoppolo.

And this isn;t good...
------

Even without Meyer, Wilson still had plenty of company and pressure at Friday's pro day as he looked to show he could be the No. 2 pick in the NFL draft. The Jets, who own that pick, reportedly sent GM Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur – filling the three-person quota due to the pandemic – to get eyes on Wilson.
after today's news.. it looks great

Why is having the Jets GM, head coach and OC all at Zach Wilson's pro day great?
because we know what the Jets want, so that means we know what we want

Pretty much what I see too, they must know wilson will be there at 3 otherwise they wouldn't trade 3 firsts for that spot, salah must have confirmed he ain't taking wilson to shanny

Saleh is not the GM of the Jets and couldn't be in a position to say what the Jets will do one month before the draft. For all we know, the Jets will get a huge offer from another team to move into their slot that they cannot refuse. I think it's highly unlikely that they 49ers have been reliably "tipped off" what the Jets are going to do at this stage in the game. I think more likely they want to trade Jimmy G's overpriced contract with a superior talent at a lower cost in anticipation of having to resign some other young stars in the coming years. But they can't possibly know what QB they're going to get at 3 precisely because we can't know what the Jets/Trade Partner might do at 2.

Well I prefer someone else but if he's the guy hopefully he doesn't have a litany of happy endings from massage therapists.

Nobody is trading for Watson right now.
Some cajones on this trade up! I like it! And this team pretty much addressed all the needs ....NY on early happy hour!! Cheers boys!!

Starting to get nervous about Mac Jones. I really like the dude but he isn't trade up to top 3 good. I'd really love to have a QB that can threaten to get to the edge, it would make our offense even more scary.

Watson will be wearing orange by that time and I'm not talking about Denver.

I think we trade back with Carolina for three years worth of 1sts and pick top 10 each year instead of the original #12 this year and #32 the next two.

I'd love it. However, w/out Wilson in the picture, I think that's highly unlikely.
