Once again, terrible logic. How many Oregon QBs flopped in the NFL before Herbert came in and tore it up as a rookie last year? Imagine if San Diego had chosen to pass on him all because of what happened with Mariota, Joey Harrington and Akili Smith? How many Air Raid QBs flopped before Mahomes?
The previous Ohio State QBs have exactly jack squat to do with Fields.

Is there a single OSU QB with even an average QB career. Say no to Fields. Its Jones or Lance. I dont think Wilson will be there. It would be stupid for the Jets not take him.

If the Niners are hoping for Wilson and he's gone by the time they get to #3, then the Niners could trade back and still get Mac Jones. Same if their target is Lance or Fields. My point is they aren't necessarily done trading. It may depend on what the Jets do. I know we talk about who would fit Kyle's system but I think he's smart enough to know how to use a mobile, option QB without over using him. It could add a really awesome threat to an already good running game.
