Still seems like a stretch for 15

I would say Wilson vs. it was a bad move

Honestly I don't see why we should keep jimmy. I don't see us winning any more games than with Mac Jones (for example), than with Jimmy. Cut/trade him and extend Warner now, cause it will cost a lot more if we wait.

Don't say Mac Jones' name in here 😑

they can extend Warner either way. Jimmy plays well you can move him for more than what he's worth right now.

It's Mac Jones bro

I would rather carryover his $25M in cap savings than gain a 3rd rd pick. I'm saying we could win the same number of games with Jimmy or a rookie QB.

Just a generic observation, but sometimes the best draft picks are just taking advantage of great talents available that other teams for whatever reason passed on. E.g, Frank Gore in the 3rd round, Nick Bosa at the #2 pick when AZ went Kyler Murray. This move feels like a reach. How many big, athletic Ohio State QBs are going to wash out at the NFL? And Lance seems eerily like Kaepernick, who was great for about a season and a half before they had the book on him. Mac Jones isn't gifted enough to justify all of the draft capital. Where are they going with this? Zach Wilson looks good, but somebody's going to nab him at 2. Seems like a bold move without a definite plan. Why would the Jets reveal their intentions to the Niners even if Saleh is a good and loyal friend? I think I'm just being too negative today. Don't mind me. Go Niners!

Once again, terrible logic. How many Oregon QBs flopped in the NFL before Herbert came in and tore it up as a rookie last year? Imagine if San Diego had chosen to pass on him all because of what happened with Mariota, Joey Harrington and Akili Smith? How many Air Raid QBs flopped before Mahomes?

The previous Ohio State QBs have exactly jack squat to do with Fields.

Amen brother.

Really, cause it kind of seemed like the time to sh*t on everyones opinion that differs. At least thats what it is looking like...

2 firsts but whose counting?

No. It is 3 first even if you're swapping firsts it still counts as a first

Basic math. If you give up 3 and gain 1 the net is 2.

why do you have to explain this? god damn our education system sucks
He's right.

3 firsts plus a 3rd for a rookie qb. Why is that not right? Let's say miami drafted trey lance at #3. The 49ers give up #12 2021, 2022 1st and 2023 1st and 2021 for trey lance. That's three firsts and a third for trey lance. Why is that hard to understand.

Lol. The extra wording isn't going to make you right. It's 2 firsts homie

Tell me how I'm wrong.

2021 1st
2021 3rd
2022 1st
2023 1st

For

Mac Jones

That is 3 firsts and a 3rd for Mac jones. If it's mac jones.

I like to keep you guessing though. Hehe.

I can't handle it right now, and I'm not sure you're kidding about a LT at 3 lol

Sorry. Obviously, we're going after a QB.
Is there a single OSU QB with even an average QB career. Say no to Fields. Its Jones or Lance. I dont think Wilson will be there. It would be stupid for the Jets not take him.
How can you be sure your guys going to be there at 3? This seems like it should have been a draft day trade....
If the Niners are hoping for Wilson and he's gone by the time they get to #3, then the Niners could trade back and still get Mac Jones. Same if their target is Lance or Fields. My point is they aren't necessarily done trading. It may depend on what the Jets do. I know we talk about who would fit Kyle's system but I think he's smart enough to know how to use a mobile, option QB without over using him. It could add a really awesome threat to an already good running game.

You not wanting someone equates to Shanahan improperly grading QBs. No offense bro, I will take his opinion over yours.

Shanahan liked Beathard more than Mahomes, so let's not go crazy

I/we are. Just look at how every single news source reports it:

"49ers trade up to No. 3 overall, send Dolphins next three first-round picks"
"49ers trade for No. 3 overall pick in 2021 NFL Draft, sending three first-rounders to Dolphins"
"49ers trade 3 first-round picks, 3rd-round pick for No. 3 pick in 2021"

etc.
