I think this year will be very hard to make the playoffs. Mostly because so many guys returning back from injury, they won't be in full form. Then the Rams obviously got better. Sea is always tough, and Cards should be at least a decent team again.. NFC West is gonna be so tough this year.

Then I also expect our defense to need some time under our new DC (scheme will be different as well, Ryan wants more man and blitzes)

Imo, the only way to we take the division this year if Jimmy or whoever the QB is has one hell of a year. There's enough talent on the offense to carry the team now. And by the time we do make it to playoffs, the defense has potential to be really good as well.

2021: Playoffs with a rookie QB
2022: Super Bowl ring
2023: Playoffs

I want winners! The future is now! I believe in this roster and continuity as they brought back most of thier starters! It's on now!

The defense was 5th in total defense without Bosa last year and 2nd the year before. It is already really good IMO.

2021: a mediocre year in w a rookie QB
2022: Playoffs
2023:SB Win

I'm expecting playoffs in each of our three seasons. The core players, paired with Shanahan as HC is very strong... so long as we stay healthy and have solid QB play.

This trade-up for a QB is huge. If we get this right, we'll be front-runners for the next couple years since that QB will be on his rookie contract.

If we get it wrong, oof. We'll still be competitive, but the lack of two first rounders will show.

Barring injury I expect the floor for the Niners is the seventh seed for a while.

What's crazy is that it hasn't set in to most football fans how hard it is to win. Brees just retired with one. Rivers got none and never even made it to the game. Peyton Manning for all his greatness had two. Rodgers likely will retire with one. I just think we should be in contention each year. Now will we make it and win one? That will require some luck.
