Years later I remember being pumped for VD, Willis and Staley. Staley was a late first round projection by Todd McShay who was really glowing about Staley. After that it would be Crabtree and Bosa.

I thought Plummer and Webster were going to be Griffin and McKeyer- starters on our next run of Super Bowls.

I was pretty hyped on Davis and Iupati. Not sexy picks, but I new our Oline would be grinders. That turned out to be true for a couple of years.

I was also amp for Crabtree...

He was suppose to be the best WR prospect in a long time and be our TO or Jerry Rice.

I wanted Earl Thomas that draft badly

The Crabtree hype was drowned out quickly by the contract holdout.

I absolutely hated that pick.I just shook my head because it was obvious he was a stiff who couldn't cover and the league was moving towards a heavy passing league.
