Something can still materialize with the Jets. We're so close to #2 - a 2nd or 3rd round pick may get it done.

Yes but it's too late. We shouldn't trade up to 3 if we're working on 2.

Saleh loves Garoppolo and could keep both he and Darnold by just trading #2 to the Niners. Not at all dumb.

I hope they make it happen. Im on the fence with Fields, but I couldn't stomach having one of the 2 other QBs

We "fleeced them" so it must have been a lot. All 3 picks involved in that transaction were turds. Trubisky, Solly, and Foster.

But why? I'm trying to understand why anyone believe Zach Wilson is worth the extra day 2 pick and/or key defender. A guy that was on no one's radar 7 months ago is now worth weakening the teams defense and giving up the limited draft capital we have left?

It seems like desperation thinking we can trade up again. I'm sure Coach and GM explored all possiblities with the Jets in order to get #2. GM of the Jets, Joe Douglas, calls the shots and I don't know if Saleh has any say in the matter. Thinking logically it seems the Jets know that Zach is gone and they've moved on and know the GUY they want. It's not the Guy we want, but when did our opinion matter anyway.
