Don't blame Erickson, he made a mistake leaving a POWER HOUSE college team he was building because Donahue gave him 2 hours to decide or Donahue would have gone with Neuheisel..

Erickson didn't want any of the moves that Donahue made.. from the TO trade to the drafting of Woods.. he wanted his RB from Oregon State who ended up w/the Rams..

it was all on DONAHUE..

I don't like Mac being the supposed pick but we are way better off than a lot of teams currently. Like Shanny said, very rare that a good team picks in the top of the draft and this needed to happen to get a qb. Mac will probably play sooner than later, but he's going to be stepping into a situation where most qbs who get drafted there get their heads taken off. He will have a lot of weapons at his disposal and a great run game to ease him into the NFL.

The taste is sour to me right now, but I'll wait and see what transpires on the field before I start calling for people's jobs.

Yup, OP is simply stating the obvious. It's the same thing every cycle. Older fans realize this regime aren't winning it all and then if you vent on here there's the the 180 crowd who love sunshine blown up their ass and are condescending to the doubters lol

It's also disappointing because I do like Shanny a lot. I think he's been the best hire and it's great to have a coach finally that is so well respected in the media and by his colleagues. All the players speak so highly of him. Even guys like Sherman praise him as a coach. I was hoping he'd be here 10 years.

but seeing him be so arrogant about this is so disappointing . I feel he truly is over thinking this and even today's presser became defiant with stubbornness. Sad for me to think we will be looking for another coach. He'll be Denver's coach next. Probably much more humble than his time here. And the ironic part is Justin fields will be his QB there.

... AND I got bash for posting that the last 2 years... I'm not sure why there's so few of ME that sees this.. He is NOT a good HC, he is a good play designer..

Face up wimpy boy. Mac processes better than fields or lance. So he's coming. Don't matter that he's made of Pillsbury dough. Frankly I'm happy to have roethlesburger 2.0. Not perfect but he'll get us to the promised land after Jimmy's next knee surgery. Peace out.

I´ve never been the same since Eddie D was forced to sell the team.

Not sure I've been more excited about where the team is headed in the last 25 years.
