He did get pushed back on a couple of pass pro reps early on but he had a real good one on the Danny Gray 76 yarder.

This! Solid game

Loved him pull blocking...Tomlinson role.
He played well.

I think & hope he continues to improve.

He had a good first game. Hopefully he keeps building on it. If you watch the Burford video and this one, you get a glimpse of what this IOL could look like if they keep progressing.

Pretty impressive showing by both guards

When the Brees Saints were at their best it was the IOL playing at an elite level. Brees always had room to step up.

If Trey has a safe pocket up front he is gonna be hitting a ton of explosive plays

Pleeeease be the right IOL guys so we can see this team hit the insane potential it has
The only thing I don't like about those reps are his hands. He tends to have his hands outside and in the real games I expect to see plenty of flags coming his way. I know I'm nitpicking but other than that I like how he played this first game.

the team said they felt confident starting him late last year but didnt want to mess with OL chemistry during a payoff push which makes sense

I was never too concerned about Banks and Kinlaw because there are positions that are hard to transitioned to the NFL (QB, interior O and D lineman).

I was certainly disappointed with Trey Sermon because with RB almost all of them can immediately play in the NFL. They either have it on day one or they don't. Usually the hard part would be blitz pick up. He may be a playable player, but I certainly think he will likely have a disappointed career based on where he was drafted. Now he might be the exception, I just don't have high hopes at this point.

He has some things he needs to clean up for sure. He got pushed back a couple times in PP early on.

all OL get pushed back in PP. As long as he's not letting them run by with ease is good by me

Agree. Like what I am seeing out there
Didnt get a chance to rewatch the 2nd game yet. A lot of hype around Berfurd and Poe, but how did Banks look? Anyone rewatch the game and focus on his reps?

I just did this morning. It looked like to me that he gave up 2 pressures. One of those were on a stunt that he did not pick up. He looks okay overall but I think Poe has had more of an impact in the run game so far.

they tried the same stunt like a few plays later and he picked it up
