Banks, pencil him in day 1 starter (unless we play the Rams week 1 and they play Brunskill to stop Donald) week 1

Daaaaaaamn Thanks for the info

I just might say f**k my gout on the toe and just get toe up tomorrow.

How did you upload the picture?? Yea, so I'm with the North Vegas Niner Empire. And my chapter will be there too, I was going to go, but I have to work now. I do HVAC here and I'm starting my own business. Now that it's starting to get hot I'm getting a lot busier now. Really wanted to go tomorrow too!!

Just right click on any image on the internet and select 'copy image address' then click on the image icon up top and paste the url... it usually works.

Aye congrats to your new business and good luck tho you probably won't need any since it's hot af and ppl usually have bad luck with their AC units
I like it. We all saw what a terrible OL did to Mahomes in the SB. Bolstering this offense to put up 35+ a game

I always wanted to know but was too proud to ask

Thanks for taking one for the team braap49er
I read more about him and the over size behemoth that he is ... not very athletic but hard to move... so the 1st person I thought of was..

KEVIN GOGANNNNNNNN !!!!!
RG has been a problematic position for awhile now...very happy with this pick. Banks is a very big man who can move...read he's an excellent pass protector. Just what the Dr ordered. I was really hoping they'd invest in the interior OL and boy did they. Also read when he became a starter, he really helped pull ND's OL together. Bay area guy who's coming home...doesn't get much better than that. He should be our starting RG...and a main cog in our OL for hopefully years to come.
Solid pick. Williams...Tomlinson...Mack...Banks...McGlinchey
Looks nice on paper and if McGlinchey continues to suck it up, we plug in Brunskill. I'm happy!

It wasn't really by one pick. He was there when they traded back with the raiders. I really wanted him too but honestly think they never considered him because his size and measurables

This board would have just complained about us drafting another small corner that can't matchup with Metcalf and Hopkins.
Seems like they reached a little. Maybe better to have traded back again.

* Bleacher Report/Brent Sobleski: D. "Some draft picks relative to their team fit just make you go 'hmmm,'" wrote Sobleski. "Banks is not the type of lineman often projected for the San Francisco 49ers' zone stretch. Typically, a heavy outside-zone system requires athletic interior blockers who display outstanding lateral movement. Banks isn't that. Kyle Shanahan and Co. typically deserve the benefit of the doubt. Here's hoping that this doesn't become a repeat of the Josh Garnett situation."

* CBS Sports/Chris Trapasso: C-plus. "Big, bruising guard with a wide body," wrote Trapasso. "Anchoring is naturally outstanding. Athleticism is average at best for the position. He'll handle power players well. Smaller types will give him problems. Weird fit in San Francisco."

* Draft Kings/Chet Gresham: B. "Banks is a physical presence at 6'5" 338 pounds, but he is still raw compared to some other linemen in the draft," wrote Gresham. "He'll need to refine his technique, but if he does, he's going to be imposing."

* Draft Wire/Luke Easterling: D. "The 49ers made a wise move to help out their new quarterback in Trey Lance, but Banks was a Day 3 prospect who would have been a much better value in the fourth round," wrote Easterling. "Seeing him go ahead of players like Ohio State's Wyatt Davis is puzzling, at best. The 49ers had a big need at corner, as well."

* Sporting News/Vinnie Iyer: B. "San Francisco made a pick tailored to its style of interior line play: extremely powerful with the capacity to get downhill in the running game with enough athleticism for the zone-blocking scheme," wrote Iyer. "Banks can start right away at right guard in front of Trey Lance."

* WalterFootball.com/Walter Cherepinsky: B-minus. "I've said this multiple times, but I'm always a fan of teams adding to the offensive line to protect a young quarterback," wrote Cherepinsky. "Trey Lance is raw, so he'll need all the protection he can get once he takes over for Jimmy Garoppolo. I had Banks slated as a third-round prospect, but I don't hate this value in the middle of the second frame."

* Eric Edholm/Yahoo Sports: C-minus. "Banks landed on the back end of the top 100 picks (yet he went at #48), as his lack of quickness was always going to limit his appeal to certain teams," wrote Edholm. "But Banks also can mash in the run game and was used at both guard spots in college. He's also pinch hit at left tackle on occasion. A nice player who adds physicality, but we viewed him more as a third-round prospect."

Confusing pick. I'm happy we went Oline but but I don't know how this guy fits our system...he's Huge but slow and is not that strong, massive paws though...did I mention Huge!

2nd round picks at OG should be for a starter...a lot of boards had him going in the 3rd to a power run scheme...to be honest there were better fits available at our pick too.

I really hope he works out because we need better interior Oline play.

Sounds like he's gonna be a stud then

Brunskill is a solid depth player because he can play anywhere on the Oline. Banks signing makes it to where Brunskill can go wherever we might need him this season.
