Aaron Banks graded a lot higher at Notre Dame on zone blocking plays (87.2) than on gap (64.7) so he fits into the #49ers run scheme well. Banks did not allow a QB sack all of 2020. Not terribly athletic, but a large guy to plug in at RG at 6'5" and 325 lbs.

Very very key stat. Is everyone paying attention? Finally pass protection is becoming more of a priority. Between Trent Williams. Mack and Banks we are excellent.

Now just get another CB for me....so pretty please with sugar on top.....clean the f**king car!
a side note to some of you saying we don't have a huge need for a starting cb, just depth? Please to be safe, assume Verrett won't play all 17 games as well as playoff games and Moseley, he is not a very good starter. Solid at best.
Im very happy with Banks, but Asante Samuel JR could of possibly been an upgrade over Moseley. We still need a good starter level cb bc of the near certainty of Verrett missing some time and Moseley underperforming.
I am very happy with our draft. Excellent job so far

Kyle must love Banks, highest drafted OG under a shanny.
day 1 starter and a pass-blocking wall. Can't hate it
we need a burner/slot guy, one more DB, edge depth and possibly a center backup.

Banks is some beef.
Should start over Skule at RG.

If they spent a 2nd rounder on this dude they must think he can play center as well... Shanny doesn't like to waste draft pics on IOL
I think this is a John Lynch pick. Like "Kyle, we know you don't value Guards early in the draft, but you'll thank me for having this guy penciled in at RG for the next 10 years"
