He'll most likely get paid by some other team, so who do we look for to replace him.

Bartch would get first crack if they bring him back. Have him compete with Burford.

Aaron Banks is projected to get roughly 8M a year in free agency
— Coach Yac 🗣 (@Coach_Yac) January 15, 2025
Banks allowed a total of 3 sacks and 96 pressures on 1,592 pass-blocking opportunities since taking over at left guard in 2022
Thoughts on if the 49ers should re-sign him? pic.twitter.com/GqNPJvhkHI

He hasn't been good this year compared to previous years....I rather they go after Kevin Zeitler, He played for only 6 mil this year on the Lions.

Like Brock Purdy, his down year this year has likely hurt his value. Based on a number of sources, we might be able to keep AB for something in the $4.5-6 million range. If so, he is worth keeping. If someone jumps up and offers him $8-9 million (I doubt it), then we pass. However, given our current lack of depth on the OL, it is worth an attempt to keep him.
We don't know how the team views Nick Zakelj. He has the physical tools and played quite well in limited snaps, particularly in PP, at the end of the year. Perhaps they let Banks walk and use Zakelj for depth.

Not worth it. We gotta cut costs wherever possible. Unless we are talking about a real legit player, why bother?

This. They should only retain value players like Jennings or starters for every team like Lenoir.

That one stings. Kyle's fetish for a vet C has screwed us over top young talent YoY. At least Puni was a step in the right direction.
