Haha.. I'm proud. They're learning.

Get a FQB, sign Tom Compton. Watch your QB get murdered every year. Fail.

Get a FQB, sign Alex Mack, Trent Williams, option Mike McGlinchey and Daniel Brunskill, draft Aaron Banks in the 2nd round, Jaylon Moore and bring in the biggest Mexican on the planet to learn from Trent Williams and teach Mike McGlinchey how to eat nothing but Mexican food.

Didn't they sign the tip C on the market, spend a top 10 pick on a RT and sign a RG after they signed their FQB?

No. Richburg was just a myth.

ok, that is a poorpassprotectionfromouroffensivelineexcuse.
im so happy with this draft tons of diffrence makers where taken i love banks and moore super pumped to have them here ..... i remember when i would b***h about oline and that we should take 2 in the 1st round and that year we took davis and iupati which proppelled us upwards except iupati was not very good at pass pro so it limited us a bit still but i like these 2 guys so much man i thi k our oline needs 1 more pick bext year and thats center and we will be set. ..... good luck to any team in our division thinking there air raid weapons will help them when we punish there defense and keep the rock most of the game while scoring tds everytime we touch it

You really asking me if I want Lance to get hurt? Of course not, but unlike you I don't solely blame Laken for Jimmy's injuries. Laken will still be the starting LG. The competition is at RG and I'm pretty sure Banks will get that.

I mean, he literally let his man destroy his ankle/knee instantly twice so how do you not blame him? Jimmy didn't have a chance/prayer at the snap. Jonnydel showed them numerous times. But we just dismiss it.

But I agree, Laken will be starting either way.

LOL, Jordan Devey started games for Brady, Alex Smith, Mahomes, and Derek Carr and they didn't get hurt. Would you rather have him instead of Tomlinson?

Any chance we get those stats but with a differentiation on outside zone and inside zone? I can see how he's a beast on inside zone where he can use his mass and strength to drive forward. He needs to not be a liability on outside zone runs at his large size. I'd be fine with adequate since he seems to excel as a pass blocker. Tomlinson is a good example of a prospect that wasn't projected into an outside zone scheme, but has become good enough at it.

Get the best center in the league vs signing the top available player in FA. I wanted the 49ers to go after (trade for/sign) Linsley or even Ragnow. We can do that next year I guess with a better cap situation. This off-season has taught me there isn't any player the 49ers can't have if they really want him. Isn't that the entire talk track behind Lance? 3 first rounders? Many are saying they wouldn't pay that price.

Precedent set.

No more excuses for lackluster talent in any position group.

Yeah, fun fact. We started FA with the 8th most cap space. We currently have the 9th most. Chiefs had no cap space and bought a whole new OL and damn near got Trent Williams too.

Like we always said, it's about prioritizing and where you choose to allocate your resources.

Me too...would have preferred Lindsey since he already played in the exact same system and C's aren't very expensive and that position is solved for the next 4-5 years vs. Mack + trying to find his immediate replacement to train to play at that same level and use draft capital on him. We probably still don't have the long term answer given we didn't draft a C but this is still better than last year!

Next year, they'll probably have to address it unless they really believe Brunskill is the answer there.

Exaclty! Why will lance automatically get hurt because Tomlinson missed a block that got Jimmy hurt?

Because, Jimmy excuses.

Because that's his consistent weakness despite playing next to HOF LT's his entire career and he put our QB on I.R. twice by himself last year from that same area of weakness. At this point, he is what he is, and the QB behind him isn't going to change that. That doesn't guarentee he WILL get Lance hurt but he's certainly going to compete with McGlinchey at increasing those odds.

He wasn't the 1st guard nor will he be the last to miss a block or get beat by a pass rusher. I would argue most teams would rather have him than their weakest starting guard. Either way, you can't blame an Olineman for a QB injury. Like my Devey point, there are plenty of terrible guards that have never had a QB miss games on their watch. Russell Wilson, who never gets hurt, would love to have Tomlison as his LG.
