We will. This won't be a worry. Greenlaw was the only real significant FA outside of Ward that needed to be paid. Ebukam is a very good player but I think he will be the one that is allowed to walk having drafted Drake Jackson.

When Ward comes back, I think Odum is gone. TMoore seems to always be the first one downfield to cover the punt, that's his value and that's more than what Odum provides imo.
If Ambry still shows promise (in practice), I wouldn't want him cut for a Verrett coming back from a major injury. So looking at the list of depth players, I'm not cutting a DE/DT/OL, not a LB with Shaair already injured. Tyler Kroft didn't play (or got zero snaps vs Rams) so I don't see a need for four TEs (Kittle, Dwelley, Woerner, roll with 3).

I believe they gave Odum a 3 year deal. Hard to see him going anywhere.

The obvious cut to me would be Tevin Coleman, especially with Davis Price coming back in a couple of weeks.

Not putting Armstead on IR says they're stretching the decision until the next home game vs Kansas City.

Tyler Kroft was and still is injured, no?

I think this is the issue with Verrett - you need to cut another db depth for him but then he inevitably be injured after X games, and so now you need a corner depth you cut recently. I believe they will get Verrett activated as late as they can, accounting for some other players who might get injured.

This is the approach I'd take. Basically have him for the playoff run/end of season.

They only have a three week window starting Wednesday, so I think they can only wait up till the Wednesday before the Rams game to activate him.
At least he's playing special teams.

From special teams to maybe starting

Only a matter of time.
His time is now.
Moseley might just have a knee bruise

Was a sprain but multiple sources are reporting he was able to put pressure on it

Well so much for that :(.
If I am not mistaken, they rather not play both Lenoir and Womack in their best position (slot) and move them outside and played Dontae Johnson at the slot than putting Ambry on the field.

If Ambry is only somewhat bad, they would probably have left Womack in the slot and play Ambry outside when M Ward went down.

He is deep in the dog house. It is not about more competition this season at all. He is much closer to Pettis than Aiyuk in terms of being in the dog house in their sophomore season.
