I'd hate for him or any of our guys to get better on another team, especially a rival

KID still has a chance.. he just needs to get comfy out there.. I don't think he's nickel, and I think he'll be better than 38!!
Don't see him making the team

Mooney
Lenoir
Oliver
Womack
Luther

The 6th spot should be up for grabs, but the way Jamison has been playing I would be surprised if he doesn't win it, outside of a very poor preseason showing.

Practice squad for Thomas. With that said, I like the CB room. Totally rebuilt with mostly young guys on rookie deals. Of course Lenoir is eligible for an extension after this year though, but this looks good for 2 years.
Today was a win for Thomas I like this version of Ambry

HE needs more playing time.. no CB in the NFL can showcase his talent when he gets to play every now and then..
Thomas was better than Oliver. If you keep the top six, Oliver wouldn't be on the list after yesterday. We'll see how the next few weeks go.

Come on OTC, they play different positions. The slot is waaaaaay harder to play than outside.

There was definitely a reason Oliver was suited up for the game he isn't a lock. I have hope for Oliver cause I think he brings more to run support

Yes, that's why I'm saying we'll have to see how things go from here. There are several others getting looks in the slot that can also play outside. Granted Thomas isn't one of those, but I could see him making it as outside depth while Womack or Jamison take over the slot if Oliver doesn't bounce back.

Have you heard reports of others competing in the slot? Didn't we move Womack outside too? Jamison might be decent competition in the slot. Everybody else seems to be competing outside ATM.

If I recall right, I thought Jamison and Womack were doing both and then either Knight or Parker were also getting looks inside. Can't remember where I saw it. Lost in the shuffle of a thousand tweets probably.

I think AJ Parker is a dark horse candidate to take the slot CB position away from Oliver. He was signed to a futures contract last year and it sounds like the 49ers really like him. D'shawn Jamison is looking more and more like a lock for the roster but the questions is where doe she play as a DB, outside or inside.

I know we paid Oliver 3M guaranteed but he looked too big and too slow to play slot.

It sounds good to think we may have some quality depth with our corners.
