It would have been nice for him to get that pick 6. Would have been huge for him and his confidence. But he is getting better every game. I don't look at him as a liability out there right now. Now Norman on the other hand, His only asset was forcing fumbles and he hasn't been doing that in 6 weeks.

hopefully we get Mosley back this week . we will need him versus the rams . keep Norman off the field he a PI waiting to happen.

Another good performance by Ambry. Arrow been pointing up since his debut, but after today maybe some of you will acknowledge it.

Gave up a 50 yard completion that was nullified by penalty. He's a big play waiting to happen for the other team.

Sounds like rookie season Jimmie Ward. I think Lemon and Thomas will be serviceable players by the start of next season.

As I said before, bring in two more rookies to compete, give Verrett a minimum deal and we should have something to build on.

I dont trust Verrett to stay healthy.

I don't either lol. But it's vet minimum. Could spend a few more million on either a better corner or edge rusher. But I'm okay with Moseley, Thomas, Williams, Lenoir, and two more rookies. Get some talented young blood in and let them learn.
Playing is helping him get better/more confident. Wild concept.
Thomas looking more and more promising

Agree. Make no mistake, he was horrendous at the start when he first got on the field this year, but no one on defense has made as big of strides as him. So major kudos to Thomas for sticking with it. He's had near interceptions in multiple games now. He just needs to finish and hang onto them now.

This. He's one of the least of our worries in the defensive backfield right now. They need to block Norman from getting on to the charter flight to LA next week.

i said it when he made his debut

i dont think he had a bad game he did a decent job against both higgins and chase and i think he has had great coverage all season except on one play where he got burned by Chase

his problem was always that he has to do a better job at attacking the ball which will come with time

his coverage though is extremely solid. He should be penciled in as a potential long term starter imo
Experience/playing time Is key. If only the coaching staff had given these young guys more reps from the beginning. Who's to say how much better they'd be right about now.
People have some outrageous expectations for a 3rd round cb. Ambry will be fine
You idiots were saying he was terrible and should be cut? How did one game make you change your minds? Just curious.
just like Lance, he'll only get better by playing.

He played solid today I'll give him that. But I still hope the 49ers go out and spend some money on the secondary, these guys just cannot stay healthy.

The secondary needs help, sure... but I'm referring to Thomas specifically. Prior to this game, I felt that even though he gave up some big passes, he competed and was in the right spot... a lot of times the receiver made great catches or the quarterback made s perfect throw. He needs reps... that's it.

I did say he played solid. Something to build on, I wouldn't get too excited the QB was Davis Mills, the truer test will be vs Stafford with Kupp, OBJ and Van Jefferson.
